I thought we weren't supposed to help you!

(although ElJay's already helping you more than I probably would.....)

What browser do you use?

That's a hint, by the way.

If you had just posted that as wanting a spell check and had not mentioned Eljay's thread, someone might have slipped up and helped out.

[No No]

Hint: Go to the forum that Hatrackers frequent but is NOT a spin-off forum, spell something wrong, and then lament that you need a spell check. The owner will be more than happy, nay, ECSTATIC to guide you. [Smile]

*sighs* Katie, did you have to go so low just for a joke? I mean, mis-spelling such a simple word... *sighs again*

It's a word. It means being very happy in a very spring-backy kind of way.

Ecstatic + elastic

I just knew something was wrong and that I should have been using my Hatrack-approved spell checker.

ElJay said you could help me.....in fact part of it was to ask for help.....I'm not too bright I don't get the clues...... [Cry]

If you type enough browser names in here, like "Spellcheck for internet explorer" enough times, google ads might help you. [Smile]

He is correct... I did say you could help if he asked and you wanted to. Frankly, what I'd do if I was looking is check through rivka's recent posts. She recommends them often enough one might be in there. [Wink] Of course, she posts an awful lot too, so maybe not.

I found one in a thread you can find if you search a compound word that's something hot and an animal along with "spellchecker"...

IncendiaryTurtle?

I have to admit that I feel for him. Because Hatrack's "search" feature really sucks sometimes when I'm looking for things -- it's even case sensitive

Although for something like finding a spellcheck extension, Google is a great answer. The correct answer shows up as one of the top three results with a great number of different search strings.

SteveRogers, it's generally polite to search for something yourself before asking for help. Yes, the UBB search tool is not very useful at all, but there are a number of ways to get the answers you need.

For this particular question, it's been mentioned in a bunch of different threads in January.

(I found the answer to this with a very very simple UBB search and a very very simple google search. C'mon, man. It's not that hard.)

That's my favorite browser, yes.

ElJay, I don't think I've recommended it in at least a couple days. (Quite deliberately since you started this thread.) Given my usual posting rate, that likely means not in the last 50 posts. [Big Grin]

Oh! OTOH, the time I did earlier this week is the first post on the second page of a recently-active thread.

I really liked it after they made the name change from IncendiaryTortoise. The downloads before just seemed to crawl.

I agree. Now it works swimmingly.
