I just went through and read all of the strip's in Mackillian's comic ADHD at MadOwl. They're hysterical - very well done. I highly recommend them.

Dagonee

Agreed!

I've been showing them to my friends too, and they love them.

Most people's favorite is: "It has a monkey on it."

I like the airplane one.

Because the only speeding ticket I’ve ever gotten was when I was looking at the clear blue sky and watching the pretty airplane instead of paying attention to how fast I was going. And, of course, it was a state patrol airplane.

[Grumble] airplane

Very cool comic! Is that Nathan making a guest appearance in the latest strip?

Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

Nah. That's mack's other fiancé. [Wink]

Posted by mackillian (Member # 586) on :

Shhh. Don't tell him.

If anyone who is adept at photoshop coloring and shading wants to link me to a good tutorial, I've be very grateful. I have a more polished strip in my head and would like to learn the skills to be able to produce it.

Ha. That last one is so me... "Chicks want diamonds." HA! Give me a stereo system or an upgraded computer or both any day...
Because you can attach a stereo to a computer [Big Grin]

Posted by T_Smith (Member # 3734) on :

Yeah, that so happened, too. A coworker told me: "She wanted TITANIUM rings!? Oh no, she wants Diamonds. Give her Diamonds."

me: "Uh... no, she really doesn't. Im pretty sure she would rather spend money on something else."

So naturally when she said exactly what I thought she would, the love was there.

Posted by Synesthesia (Member # 4774) on :

Diamonds are boring. Too clear. I like opals, but I don't own any real jewelry...
Now, opera cds... that is the key to my heart. And diru stuff...and a computer that is not lagurchedy when I run Sims 2 -_-

I finally found a good tutorial!

Here's two headshots of the two main characters I'm using for their bios.

Taylor
Veck

Posted by MyrddinFyre (Member # 2576) on :

Awesome, I can't wait to see the bios!

Yep, it looks good. Referring specifically to the artwork in the last one. Although they all look good, truth be told. Except for one thing.

There aren't enough of them.

Seriously. 14 strips? How can you do that to me? 14 lousy strips? I need, like, a hundred. Or more. Sheesh! [ROFL]

I fixed the text on the latest strip so it isn't so freaking small.

(Edited to add [Big Grin] and nice job! those were funny! do some more!)

Shan, I think these are all based on (or inspired by) RL.

And they are AWESOME! [Big Grin]

And we NEED MORE!!!

Posted by Ryuko (Member # 5125) on :

Heee. Awesome. Hey, mack, if you need any advice, ping me. I'm not the uber-great at making comics look good with photoshop or whatnot, but damn it do I know how to draw panels and word bubbles!!

[Big Grin] [Smile] Real life is often quite funny.

Posted by Shan (Member # 4550) on :

I know, rivka - my humor was just falling flat . . . ah well . . . [Big Grin]

Posted by mackillian (Member # 586) on :

Yes, inspired by real life.

Hey, get on AIM before I fall asleep.

Posted by Teshi (Member # 5024) on :

Mack, I got edjected from the cursed place that is AIM, but I re-read your comics. You added a new one since Saturday?

I get the really obvious ones, the only ones I didn't get were the more random ones where the train of thought deliberately went off on wild angels.

I got most of them. My favourite is the blue cheese bagel one [Smile] .

Posted by Shan (Member # 4550) on :

thank you, Rivka - you're a sweetie . . . [Kiss]

New one's up folks.

I've never had a slurpee before... They seem to be really cold.

Posted by T_Smith (Member # 3734) on :

Slurpees are gooooooood.

Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

Oooh, they get titles now! Cool.

So, how long did he have to sleep on the couch? [Big Grin]

Posted by mackillian (Member # 586) on :

Good question.

Posted by larisse (Member # 2221) on :

Mack... great comic. Warnings should be placed prominently around them, though. I almost sprayed my keyboard with soda. [No No]

Ooo... and I like that tutorial. I couldn't draw a stick figure even if I had an actual stick figure to trace around, but I love to color with Photoshop. I find it relaxing to scan in an ink drawing, set it up, and add color and shading. Neat.

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

Oh, man, that's hilarious.

This comic reminds me of a conversation with my husband when we were first married.

Him: "I want a monkey."
Me: "I'm sorry, you what?"
Him: "A monkey. I want a pet monkey."
Me: "It's monkeys or kids. And since we're not using any birth control, you know what that means."

He chose the kids, obviously. [Big Grin]

Posted by mothertree (Member # 4999) on :

I wish I'd been offered that choice. o_o

I don't get the one with the bottle, or the first one. But other than that, I find them highly entertaining. I think this latest one is my favorite.

Posted by Joldo (Member # 6991) on :

Mack! Write another one!

Please? Nathan will understand, won't you?

Posted by mackillian (Member # 586) on :

You'll have to take it up with him. It takes me between 4-6 hours per comic, start to finish.

Right now, we're going on an actual DATE! Dinner and a movie! [Eek!]

Posted by Joldo (Member # 6991) on :

Nathan, send Mack home. Chain her to her computer. Please?

Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

Darn!

I want another one, but I also want to be supportive of newlywed bonding . . . decisions, decisions . . .

*ponders*

Posted by T_Smith (Member # 3734) on :

Look, the more "bonding" we do, the more comic's she'll have in the future. [Smile]

Posted by mackillian (Member # 586) on :

o_O

It isn't THAT kind of bonding.

Posted by T_Smith (Member # 3734) on :

Is that all you ever think about?

Posted by mackillian (Member # 586) on :

Only with you around.

Posted by T_Smith (Member # 3734) on :

Sweet.

And am I the only guy who thinks having a slurpee machine next to their bed is the best idea ever???

Posted by Dagonee (Member # 5818) on :

Nope.

The really cool thing is, if I could get it to make diet slurpees, my wife would let me do it.

Dagonee

Posted by bunbun (Member # 6814) on :

Yes. Yes she would.

Posted by mackillian (Member # 586) on :

Actually, if they made diet slurpees, I'd be all for it, too. But a regular Slurpee machine is just torture!

Posted by CalvinMaker (Member # 2032) on :

*was thoroughly entertained by those*

:-D

I want more.

Posted by T_Smith (Member # 3734) on :

Oh the stories I could tell you, Noah...

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

You two are so cute. I remember the days (before baby) when that was on our minds whenever we were together...

*sighs*

*looks at husband asleep on the couch*

*sighs again*

Posted by quidscribis (Member # 5124) on :

My husband doesn't like slurpees. [Dont Know] But then, slurries don't exist in Sri Lanka, despite the hot hot temperatures, so he hasn't had that much exposure to them.

I, however, would love a slurpee machine next to the bed. Or anywhere in the house, really. Especially if the slurpees came in diet. [Big Grin]

Posted by T_Smith (Member # 3734) on :

Diet slurpees... to boldly go where no scientist dares to go.

Ketchup: You're minds were always on slurpee's, too? Wow. We have a lot in common.

They've made them before, but most 7-Elevens do not carry them.

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

Nathan, you walk a fine line. Do not invoke the wrath of the ketchup!

(I woke him up last night, so I'm in a good mood this morning. [Wink] [Big Grin] )

Diet slurpees:

Diet Pepsi slurpees

Slurpee machine
Smaller version

Syrups

Sadly, I cannot find any online suppliers of the diet syrup.
