Now all it needs is a laser strapped to its head.

No, it needs a "friggin'" laser strapped to its head.

The "friggin'" is very important to the ultimate success of the plan.

That's kind of creepy, unless you think about the extent to which we are already manipulated by marketers, mainly through our desire for sex or to mimic the sexually desireable.

I'm guessing this guy has read Greg Bear?

Sharks actually have pretty simple brains, so it will probably be easier to do directly than with the rat.

Yeah but have you ever tried to get undergrads to feed your lab sharks for you?

Posted by Dagonee (Member # 5818) on :

If they think it will look good on a grad school application, undergrads will do anything.

And if they don't, get other undergrads to feed them TO the sharks.

The shark is ideally suited for this research, he said, in part because it has a strikingly large nose.
I couldn't help but chuckle at how non sequitor this seemed. I tried to equate noses with research, and failed. [Razz]

What a neat idea, though. I wonder, does it have a big antenna sticking out of its head? Also, how did they get the electrodes in its brain? Is it hard to do surgery underwater? [Eek!]

I think RoboShark is better sounding. Though they could probably sell the licensing rights for RadioShark.
