Yeah, it kinda feels like it.

I am so sick of Ashlee Simpson, Jessica Simpson, Hilary Duff, Halyee Duff, Lindsay Lohan, and Paris Hilton, I find myself wishing one of them would have been shot in the face 5 times by a marine instead of Dimebag Darrell.

That's bad, but hey....

If it's any consolation, there's nothing new under the sun. People have been famous for being famous for considerably longer than we've been alive, m'man.

Stop watching television. I recognized about two thirds of those names, and could only put a face to Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton.

Most of those people are a bit boring.
But, I did like Lohan in that Freaky Friday movie. I just don't feel like hearing about any of these people's boring personal lives.

When I find myself pondering over the popularity of a celebrity, and wishing they would just disappear, it gives my heart a good deal of comfort knowing that there are no more N*Sync, Backstreet Boys, Hansen, or Spice Girls.

Yeah, leave Lindsay Lohan out of it.

America has been like that for at least the last decade. But I don't think that is America, just a part of it. Some people buy into it, I don't think the majority does, but there it is. It'll die out when people get sick of it or it gets replaced by something else. In the mean time, if you don't like it, try to ignore it, that's what I do. I've lost faith in most of American pop culture. It's too whiney, too critical, and way too obsessed with things that only matter to itself.

There's always just getting interested in other cultures. Like how I love the Russian Dmitri Hvorostovsky and the Japanese band Dir en grey.

You must also remove Haylee Duff, as she acted a part in one of the best movies of the 21st century thus far.

It's possible to live your life without being bothered by these people.

I know, because until this thread, I hadn't heard any of those people mentioned since the lip-synching turne hoedown on SNL.

You may be in the minority there. A lot of people have put a whole lot more than a face to those two females.

But that isn't important now.

It's possible to live your life without knowing who these people are.

It was only due to a thread on another forum that I ever heard about Paris Hilton, and am I ever so glad I hadn't heard about her sooner.
