One of my friends made me go to Buffalo with her this weekend. Because I'm a good friend, and it was either I go, or she go alone to look at houses, I went.
She found out I've never been out of the US. Since Buffalo is 15 minutes from Cananada, we went across the border. It poured the entire time. Canada is wet. We went to a souvenir store and got stupid souvenirs. Keychains with shiny things that spin!
I also got a t-shirt that say "Poke Me and Die."
We needed to leave. After getting CANADIAN gas, we attempted to find the bridge back to the US. Canada has very small signs about how to get back to the US. We ended up in Canada an hour longer than we meant to. Finally, we found the duty-free shop near the bridge. Bought duty free crap (beer, chocolate, I think I got more stupid tourist stuff), then headed back.
We got stuck in traffic from the Bills game. Stupid Steelers fans.
It shouldn't be wet. It's supposed to be cold cold cold but someone forgot to turn the great north air conditioning switch on.

Canada is fine. Mostly I get to see Montreal. Last time I was there, I think I bought the only copies of A Game of Thrones and Clash of Kings from the only real bookstore in the city. All the rest was shoes and clothes
There needs to be a green sick smilie to express my disgust at the obsession with "nice" clothes. I own a "Zombie Peanut Butter" T-Shirt, and that's enough "style" for me.

Most of the time when I went to Canada, it was to get hockey equipment with my dad or for Boy Scout outings. We went to Niagara Falls a number of times (however, it was in the winter).
When it was not winter, it has almost always rained.

I have never been to Canada, either. Or Cananada, for that matter. And it's only four hours away. I keep meaning to drive up for breakfast.

Sheesh! The stereotypes and misconceptions that drip through this thread!
First off, Canada doesn't have kids in the streets running after you begging for treats. They have sled dogs. Big huskies. Begging for meat. Although, truth told, I'm surprised they let you drive your car in Canada. We usually make the tourists trade 'em in for dogsleds at the border.
And Canada doesn't mean just hockey. There's lacrosse, too! Get your lacrosse equipment in Cananada, folks!
And Cananada also has Saskatoons. And pemmican. And smoked salmon.

Yeah, but we didn't play Lacrosse. We played hockey, a real sport. Like Mack, I didn't live far from Canada where I grew up.

Can you believe I've never been to CND? I've lived in Alaska my entire live, and I've never been to CND.
(Well, that's not technically true. I was in an airplane that had to make an emergency landing in Alberta once. Nothing wrong with the plane--the person sitting next to me had a heart attack, and wouldn't have made it all the way back to Alaska. So I've been in an airplane on Canadian soil. But it's not like I got out or anything. And no, I never found out if the guy made it. I like to tell myself he's okay, but I'll never actually know.)
