It's like getting hit over the head with a brick. Repeatedly.

But it's a good movie. Like Mystic River. Same brick.

I was babysitting 2 kids when the parents went to see this movie. They came home, looked at me, and asked me if all of middle school was like that and should they take their daughter out of that situation. I tolf them no, tha the middle school in our area was pretty good (I had gone there a few years before) and she was safe to go there, the mom just needed to keep an eye on her (duh).
Our conversation didn't really help though, the next year the child was in some weird, fancy private school. And now the kid is really unhappy. Oh well.

.... I was so bored in school. I was always ahead of the class, and then around 9th grade I just stopped caring. At least caring about my 'grades'. I still learned quite a bit, but nothing that anyone else was learning [Wink]

I haven't seen it, but if I can help it, both my kids will miss out on public middle and high school. I went to a jr and sr high that was mixed...7th through 12th. There were 6,000 students. I will *never* forget my first day of 7th grade. I had to walk through the senior's hall to get to one of my classes. It was terrifying.
