Since I've asked for help a lot here for my work I figure I may as well show what I've done. Now most of it is borning, unshowable programming stuff, but the end result leads to some pretty cool pictures. First off, the home page for where I work is here. I assembeled some cool pictures (or what I think are cool pictures [Smile] ) here, and then there's some more posted here.

I do. [Smile]

All those are images of the temperature within the Earth, most of which go down to the outside of the outer core.

I like 3d diagrams like that. There's a display in our Engineering department of the various pressures of fluid in a 90 degree intersection of microscopic tubules. It's plotted in 3d, and I spend whole chunks of hours staring at the thing, seeing little details that I didn't notice before.

Wow... that sounds really wierd, now that I say it. [Razz]

Wouldn't it be weird if the heat inside the earth made a picture of something? Like a rubber duck?

How would you know it was a rubber duck, as oppossed to say, a normal duck?
