Dana & Bob's first kid is gettin' this from me!

Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

Are you saying you have already ordered one?

Posted by Tater (Member # 7035) on :

Nice. [Big Grin]

Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :

Nope. But I should... a size large for me. [Big Grin]

Don't worry, I'll remember when the time comes...

Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

Sure, but who says the retailer will still exist?

Posted by imogen (Member # 5485) on :

How devishly cute. I want one!

Posted by Ryuko (Member # 5125) on :

Yeah. I think I'll be the best person-that-they-call-aunt-but-isn't-really-related. I'll get the baybee something like this.

Gotta get 'em started early. [Evil Laugh]

Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :

Not a totoro? I love totoro.

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

"for your little monster"

They're marketing directly to me. [Razz]

Posted by Intelligence3 (Member # 6944) on :

Cmon, be creative.

Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :

That is a gift for the aunt, not the baby. At least not until s/he's tall enough to reach it without standing on anything, I think that's the criteria Dad had for us using power tools.

Posted by Intelligence3 (Member # 6944) on :

So I should cancel the one I ordered for my niece? It's her 2nd birthday on Christmas, too.

Posted by Joldo (Member # 6991) on :

Oh, beautiful. I once had a pacifier with big huge hick teeth on it when I was little.

Posted by MaydayDesiax (Member # 5012) on :

[ROFL] Does anyone else think that their children should wear the hat to church?

Posted by zgator (Member # 3833) on :

Bob and Dana's kid will be a preacher's kid. I think the hat is perfect.

Posted by BunnV (Member # 6816) on :

Ah, the perfect forum to post a hat. [Hat]

It's awesome!

Posted by Christy (Member # 4397) on :

Oooh, now I want this skirt for Sophie! Or maybe the kitty hat -- not to be confused with the devils hat *giggle* because we all know that horns and ears are different. [Razz]

That. Is. Adorable.

I'm so getting a hat like that for my kid. [Razz] (Not that that's anytime soon either...)

Posted by Farmgirl (Member # 5567) on :

You definately should order one for yourself, ElJay -- and every time you go out on the town with your new little neice/nephew, you should dress in matching outfits! That would just steal the show....

Now if I could just convince my building that silk button down dress shirts are NOT labcoats, I'd be in business. No less than four people today have made some comment about my nice labcoat. *sigh*

Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :

Man, that would be a darned nice lab coat.

[Eek!]

[Angst]

[Cool]

[Blushing]

This too.

[Laugh]

Posted by Ryuko (Member # 5125) on :

The baby needs one of these, of course.

Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :

Ooooh, that's cute.

Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

It's even cuter on an actual specimen.

Posted by Ryuko (Member # 5125) on :

OHHH!! I didn't see that! (squees) BAYBEES ARE KYOOOT!!!

Posted by raventh1 (Member # 3750) on :

Man, I'm not going to subject my children to that kind of torture. They can't even fight back :? [Wink] [Wink]

Posted by Bob_Scopatz (Member # 1227) on :

I would like to point out the likelihood that any progeny of dkw are likely to choose ElJay's nursing home...

Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :

1. So? They're gonna love me. They won't remember the silly things I sent as gifts when they were infants.

2. As a dedicated non-parent, don't you think I plan on making all of those arrangements myself, in advance? Even if I didn't, as y'all's children will undoubtably realize that they are my heirs, I think I won't have any problems.

Now imagine their consternation at the reading of my will when they realize I left it all to charity. [Evil Laugh]

[Big Grin]

They'll just want your motorcycle.

Auntie Liza will take them for a ride on her Yamahog.

Remember...everyone uses a helmet

A chainsaw!

Congratulations!

Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :

Cool! I like chainsaws!

Bob, can I get them little helmets with spikes on top? [Wink]

Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :

You guys are gonna have a sandbox, right? 'Cause my niece/nephew needs one of these.

[Big Grin]

Posted by Farmgirl (Member # 5567) on :

Since you resurrected this thread, should we be wondering.......???????

Posted by dkw (Member # 3264) on :

You can wonder if you want, but I can flat out guarantee that ElJay is not going to be an aunt in the next 9 months. Unless Enigmatic has something to tell us. [Monkeys]

Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :

resurrecting this thread = ElJay found a cool toy that she can't justify buying for herself

Nothing more, nothing less. [Smile] This way they're all in one spot so I can remember 'em later.

Posted by Farmgirl (Member # 5567) on :

Well, I thought at one point we had a thread with bets going as to when that would happen.....

Posted by Corwin (Member # 5705) on :

The thing is I WILL be an uncle soon. o_O Resume discussion.

Posted by Theaca (Member # 8325) on :

But I am going to be an aunt in seven months! [The Wave]

Just keep posting clever ideas, Eljay. They'll be put to use.

Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :

*grin* Awesome! Both Corwin and Theaca. [Smile]

Posted by twinky (Member # 693) on :

I've been an uncle since I was five. o_O

The world's moving faster and faster these days, ain't it, twinky? [Wink]

Posted by Enigmatic (Member # 7785) on :

Wait, what? I'm not pregnant, either!

--Enigmatic
(a few months poignant, though)

Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :

Look, look at the cuteness!!!!!

Posted by dkw (Member # 3264) on :

Methinks ElJay is dealing with some maternal (or at least aunt-ternal) issues of her own.

Posted by ElJay (Member # 6358) on :

It's not like I'm looking for these things. I just post them here when I see cute stuff in the course of my normal daily web surfing. [Smile]

So it's more sisternal, really. [Big Grin]

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

breyerchic, did you make one of those for Aerin? You know what her nickname is, right? [Big Grin]

Posted by breyerchic04 (Member # 6423) on :

no, I made her two darling pink hats, I might send her one for her birthday, it'd be fun at one.
