quote: And as of midnight, some voters in Ohio were still at the polls. In Franklin County, which includes Columbus, some voters who had begun waiting in line before the 7:30 p.m. cutoff were still in line after midnight because polling places had too few ballot machines to handle the surge of voters. In Knox County, voters were still voting at 1 a.m.
In fact, right now I am hearing on the news that there are STILL people voting in Knox county. Now that's determination!

Wow - I'm impressed. At the voters. Less impressed at the lack of capacity of voting stations to deal with the numbers of voters.

What matters is WHO they're voting for. Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :
Agreed, imogen!

There was a picture on the front page of the paper today of students lined up at Florida college (and I mean LINED UP--it could have easily been mistaken for a rock concert) waiting to vote two hours after the polls had closed. They only had five freakin' machines, for a whole campus!

If only we could sustain this kind of voter turnout!
