Both presidential candidates have authored commentaries detailing their respective healthcare plans in the Oct 27, 2004, issue of JAMA.
The question put to each of them: "How would you ensure access to health care for citizens of the United States?"
Wowsers.
There is also a special communication by an MD/JD entitled "10 years beyond the health security act failure: subsequent developments and persistant problems" (regarding the Clinton initiative).
Can't wait to read.

What is the best way for non-subscribers to aquire copies of said articles? That would be very worth reading.

Budetti's article on the Clinton plan costs $12 to download as a full text, but I'd be happy to snail mail a copy if anyone emails me a request.
Were I not such an ethical person as I am, I would email a cut-and-pasted Word document in response to said request. However, that would have to be an amazing and awkward accidental coincidence, should it happen. Posted by dkw (Member # 3264) on :
I am unable to make the links work. Posted by dkw (Member # 3264) on :
Hmm. I am unable to get any website but Hatrack. This is strange.

Since there are people on Hatrack who know what they're talking about when it comes to health care and I am not one of them ... any chance of a really short break-down of what was said?
Pretty please?
With an apple on top?

Hobbes, you know some men write me poetry for my favors ... *eyes sparkling
Sure, I'll give it a go in a few days. I have to finish some other writing first, but I will put this on my list.

The problem appears to have been my computer. I restarted it, and all is well.

Sounds like you're perfecetly capable of writting poetry for yourself, I'm afraid I'm not much of a hand at poetic verse (just ask Annie, whose been burdened by repeated woeing attempts with poetry, not a pretty sight (well Annie reading it was a pretty sight, but I'll spare our younger audience ). Perhaps something that would be a more ... well good. Like an explenation of how to program, you'd like that, right?

You got any how-to tips on cross-country skiing a'la your bicycling commentary?
The local Goodwill had skis & poles that fit me and my sweetie to a T. Got them for a song.

Sweeeet. We have a mess of trails right outside our backdoor, as our apartment complex edges on Elver Park.
So, sometime later this year, maybe you could piece together a brief beginner's guide?
I'll summarize Kerry and GW Bush in JAMA for you after I take care of work writing and my CMZ readers' group comments. By the start of next week, definitely.
