Any other "gentle souls" (yeah, right) who have laid off in the last couple weeks? What all is up? Of course, I was a little scarce myself but it was due to travel and then being travelled upon. Just when Space Opera mentioned that the contentiousness of the board was driving her off yesterday, I began to worry. Of course, I haven't check the hug thread or Monkey's Paw...

I saw beverly over in "Are you a Girl". But maybe she is no longer viewing the front page, but merely going by the recent post roster of someone she trusts. [/semi-elaborate paranoid scenario]

I've been seeing beverly around a decent amount, but it's possible that it's been at Sakeriver or something. I *think* I've seen her here though.

Mostly I have just not been around my puter as much. I'm just going through a phase. [mantra] Everything is a phase. [\mantra]

PSI last posted in the spanking thread, on October 1. I haven't seen her around Galacticcactus either, though I'm not sure if she re-registered after the crash.

Here I am. [Wave]

Hormones made Mrs.M tired and crazy. Okay, more tired and crazy. But I finished one and I have 2 more days before I start another (even worse) one.

I got a birthday call from Sobertillnoon today and it reminded me to check up on Hatrack. I haven't been lurking and I wasn't driven off. To be honest, the Internet has me really turned off lately. A couple of weeks ago it occured to me how much time I waste on it, and I compared that to how many projects I have coming up now that it's the holidays (think Halloween costumes for everyone I know and homemade Christmas gifts). There's something about the Internet that makes me not want to get on and I don't really understand why, but I think I've made some priority shifts. I can't say if I'll be back around anytime soon because I haven't made any decisions or anything. I just haven't felt like getting on. : )

But we like you. The Real World isn't all that important, now, is it?

Ya know Psi, it's all in how you leave.

If you leave on your own volition, that's one thing - if someone ran you off, that's something else.

Enjoy real life - the addiction will always be waiting for you. [Big Grin]

Remember the Simpson's where Homer had to go through rehab and when his probation is over he goes and looks in on Moe's? And for the first time he realizes what a lame scene it is? Well good on ya, PSI.

Update: My avoidance of the Internet on all but some special occasions has been good for me. I've been more productive and a lot happier, and so is my family as a result. My husband has been inspired by my productivity and compared that to an utter lack of his. His cartooning suffers while he spends endless hours at OCRemix and Mame.

Anyway, the result is that we will be cutting off our Interent service at the first of the year. We are both very happy about this and can't wait to get our lives back. It won't be permanent; we will be rewarding ourselves with Interent once his cartooning is ready to be published. But that could be quite a while.

So we have three weeks to make sure we have everything we need from the web, and to hang out here a bit, and then it will be Sayonara.

But hey. There's always snail mail. : )

Awww, but...but...but! I totally understand, but I'll miss you. If you wanna be pen pals let me know and I'll send you my address.

Wow. I can't imagine doing that myself, but I totally admire you for doing it.
