Just sat down and played Loom all the way from start to finish. I think for the first time. I completed it nearly in one sitting. [Big Grin] Now at the very end of the credits it said thanks to Orson Scott Card, or credited him. I was aware that OSC worked on The Dig, but I didn't know he worked on Loom. Is there any more to the story? Any other tidbits, I quite liked the 'universe'.

Any other information would be appreciated. Thanks.

I LOVED Loom! I had no idea OSC had a hand in that. Neat-o.

Well, I did play it a couple times as a kid. I never owned it, borrowed it from a friend, and didn't get very far. I saw a copy, and picked it up; Blazed through it tonight.

I really liked the music interface, and the voice acting added quite a bit too. Something I didn't get when I was little, or would fit on floppies.

What is Loom - a Navajo weaving game?

Loom is a classic LucasArts adventure game. And like many classic LucasArts adventure games, OSC had a hand in it. [Smile]

I remember that game. I never did make it past the hurricane/tornado thingy. If I recall correctly, I sent it to Jon Boy with Monkey Island.

Annie, you would love it. The clues are musical.

T: Just keep trying it took me a bit to figure that out too, but I couldn't do it quite yet, I had to go back and do a couple other things.

Loom for Mac can be found at the Macintosh Garden, an abandonware site. I checked around, the game is no longer for sale anywhere that I could find, so I have no problem sharing this.

That site is funny. I kept trying to double-click on the "icons."

Oh, I'd give a rib for a copy of Loom. I loved that game when I was a kid. Any tips on getting one would be appreciated. [Smile]

Do you have to have a Mac to play it? I found the download for it at that link, but I don't want to download it to my PC unless I can use it...

You can get it for Windows here: http://www.the-underdogs.org/game.php?id=655

It's only 3MB but if you want you can download an audiopack at 52MB and get full speech.
