Have we talked about this movie yet? I couldn't find anything. Anyway, I saw it tonight. I'm not sure how I feel about the turn the story took near the end, but it has good buildup. It's not exactly a horror movie, more of a psychological thriller, I guess, but I jumped a few times. Julianne Moore is fantastic as usual. It's kind of Eternal Sunshine meets Memento with a little (just a little) M. Night thrown in.

Added bonuses: Besides the fact that it was a free screening, I got a free poster for it, as well as a free poster for the Lemony Snicket movie. Now all I need is a free pass to that.

So someone did talk about this movie! Well, I thought that it had so much potential...the movie was so good until...

SPOILERS

...the showdown in the airplane hangar. I felt like it got a little cheesy after that. And then, *poof* she got her son back. Don't mention the fact that now she knows about these aliens that are performing experiments and orbiting our planet. Would they really have left her alone?

END SPOILERS

But, all cynism aside, I really had a great time. Dominic West was lovely and I liked Julianne Moore as well. I'm a jumper and there were definitely parts that had me in my sister's lap. You that have seen it know what I'm talking about. Those effects were awesome. My favorite part was what happened right after the guy whispered "They're listening." Ooooh! Shivers.

Fun movie.
