As soon as you can, approach your significant other and tell him/her how much you love her. Give her a nice kiss, embrace her...give her flowers without any special reason but the love you feel.
Love must be shown folks! If you do it, this thread will have fulfilled its purpose.
(Eduardo = madly in love)

Send her an e-mail telling her how much you love her.

Or ambush her with something special when you do see her - a nice dinner out, a nice dinner in with candles.
Indulge your imagination.

I shall fulfill the mission!
I shall slave over dinner and housework so that my husband can feel at home. I shall change and feed the children and keep them happy!
Wait a minute...this feels like what I do everyday.

Snicker.
Which is why I specifically mentioned the male half of this particular equation.
Not that he needs advice from me, but I needed to type just to hear the clatter of keys.

Awwww. My favorite moments are the ones where we'll be doing something mundane like folding laundry and Mr. Opera turns and says, "You know what? I love you." Melts my heart every time.

That's really sweet, E_S. It's nice to see you're so happy.
Thank God I'm fortunate enough to have someone who, despite the distance, does what he can to show he loves me.

I am a very lucky girl who is loved way more than she deserves. I Love my Andy, but I know I could be twice as good to him and still not good enough.
:kiss:es for Hobbes!

Eduardo, did I read something earlier, or am I way off base...
Ar you proposing to the GF ? Or have you done so?

Trevor: I don't want to fail to mention MY male half as well. My husband shows me how much he loves me everyday by working his butt off in the hot sun without complaint, and still paying attention to me rambling while he washes the layers of dust off.
There are other things he does too, but those might not be appropriate for posting. : )
Posted by TMedina (Member # 6649) on :
We appreciate your discretion and decorum on the matter, PSI.

I'm serious about the butt thing. The man has no butt.
Posted by AmkaProblemka (Member # 6495) on :
My husband rubs my feet when we sit on the couch together. I never have to ask him to do it. Sometimes he pulls me over and rubs my neck and shoulders too.
Damn, he's a good man. I will definately show him the love.

So much for the decorum....
If he has no butt, what holds his legs on?
Not to mention his unmentionables...

For Anneke:
When seeing thine eyes, one may perhaps liken them to a great reflecting pool, deep and mysterious, upon which one could gaze and be filled, and upon which one could look forever and be satisfied. Yet thy eyes not truly like such a pool, as thee look back at me as I look into them, and comprehend that which I can not see. I would liken them unto a seeing pool, upon which I may look and see more than that which is seen, and learn more than I would know having not seen them. So I choose to gaze into thine eyes, and I am filled with my Love for thee, and shall abideth with thee. As time wasteth away shall we grow, and those things of the world which shall rust and shatter and fall away will see not the passing of even a single day of the eternity of Us. And together we shall live in the glory of the light seeing the Love of the world.

Last I heard his name was Lance...
Maybe Celia can back me on this rumor?

Eduardo, that's lovely.
My significant other doesn't really see Hatrack, unless I link him to it. But hey... I'm going to tell you all how wonderful he is anyway. He emails me every day from work in his lunch break or in the morning before he starts (normally this is a good way for us to exchange mundane chat and decide what we're doing in the forthcoming evening/weekend and stuff like that). Today in his e-mail, after the usual stuff like telling me how his day's been and reminding me of stuff I need to do, he put the following PS at the end:
quote:ps. Did I ever mention you are the most marvellous person I've ever met? If not, consider it mentioned!
I need to think of something sweet and nice to do for him next time I see him.... any ideas?
Posted by Telperion the Silver (Member # 6074) on :
I have a girlfriend who lives in Canada...
I'd like you to meet her, but you can't...because she's in Canada.
Posted by Telperion the Silver (Member # 6074) on :
And Eduardo, you are too cute!!
Actually..... I had a great weekend. I hooked back up with one of my first loves from way back when. He was away for several years... and now is back! And I think we might actually have a chance! He is so nice and cute.... the only problem is that he likes his booze a little too much.. but we can work on that.

You think you've got a problem Dag! My SO's around 5000 miles away... for almost the entire year
But she's coming to visit in 12 days!! *BOUNCE*
Then I can fulfill the purpose of the thread
