Am I missing any?

Criminy. I've missed most of these...

I'm sure I've missed some others, too.

The New Landmark Post Thread has them all, if you wish it for reference. You covered all the ones from the past couple of days, though, as far as I can tell.

Thanks, Papa!

I'm fixing to add one to the list, just to be obnoxious. I was actually going to let 5000 get by without saying anything but 3 different people caught my post count and said they expected one. Rats.
Apologies to those who are sick of reading, and you're welcome to those who need even more ways to procrastinate. Posted by Sara Sasse (Member # 6804) on :
No, no, no, Annie. People want to see the landmarks.
(Saayyyy, what was going on 9 months ago? )
Posted by Papa Moose (Member # 1992) on :
Yeah -- I think landmark threads started getting more "expected" as soon as post counts were readily visible. "Back in the day," you only knew someone's post count if you clicked on his or her profile. Now finding out someone's post count takes almost no effort at all. [sarcasm] Hatrack was so much better in the old days.... [/sarcasm]
I'm afraid I have more than once in the past been guilty of letting my expectations of an individual writing a landmark be known. I will endeavor not to do so again*.

*Unless I really really mean it, as in Puppy's case, for example.

Papa Moose, you are getting awfully close to 4425.

I find that I prefer to read them when I have time to savor them, which typically means the weekend. Thanks for linking to them all together like this, Sara. I have been afraid that when I finally got around to it, I would miss some. I hope these stay active for a little while.

I find it hard to believe I have more posts than pop. Or anyone, actually. o_O

*bump* for reference

uh oh... i'm getting darn close to the dreaded 2-0-0.
I'm thinkin i have a while til the one thousand mark, and thus the first popular landmark occasion.
One of these days I'll get un-lazy and start posting more.. or even create a landmark at a lower-than-average post count.
Crazy as always, Psycho Triad

My latest landmark had nothing to do with postcount. It was just the discussion of an honest-to-God landmark in my own life. You ARE allowed to do those too, you know Posted by Jess N (Member # 6744) on :
For those of us that are newbie--what actually constitutes a landmark? I know Taalcon used a life experience for a a landmark, but at what number posting do most people write a landmark post?
I enjoyed several of the landmark postings and I look forward to my turn at it later on.
Posted by Papa Moose (Member # 1992) on :
Most are at multiples of 1,000, Jess. As to what constitutes one, there are almost as many answers as there are Jatraqueros -- possibly more, actually. For the most part, if you call it a landmark (and the post is more than some graemlins and an "I'm so cool I have this many posts"), I'll add it to the list/archive. But my more complete (though not comprehensive) answer (and only mine) can be found here.

Thanks, Pop. That was very useful and enlightening. I look forward to my 1,000th!

See I figured there were just too many landmarks floating around so I let my 8000 go.
I mean, haven't you all heard enough about me by now? There didn't seem anything significant to add.
