Kerry looks like an idiot?

I think both of them kind of look like idiots. Many people agree that it is a lesser of two evils issue.

He was nice to a transsexual woman once...

Yeah, I don't remember choosing either one of these candidates. I guess that's one of the evils of the two party-system. You really don't have a lot of choices, and the political conventions become a total farce.

I don't think once is going to redeem him to the GLBT community.

He is named after a shrub

The two-party system seems better for getting things done.

As luck would have it, allegra, a friend sent me exactly what you're looking for - this will certainly inspire you!

Kerry the Hero

Why is that exactly what I am looking for?

Sarcasm is dead (sigh)

Posted by Allegra (Member # 6773) on :

Sorry I am bad at picking up on sarcasm on the internet. *looks sheepish*
I enjoyed the article though!

Actually, I think we would have a more kind, pleasant, and civil society if sarcasm died.

But there's no danger of that happening.

Posted by Allegra (Member # 6773) on :

I like sarcasm if it is done in a friendly way and it is obvious it is sarcasm. Feelings can sometimes get hurt otherwise.

I always hated it growing up when these grown-up men would say stuff to me and I never knew if they were joking or not. It was like they got a high out of making little girls uncomfortable. Women never seemed to do that though. [Smile]

Because someone asked if we should start a policy of appeasement.
