I have behaved in a manner unbecoming a Jatraquero. Recently, starting in the Rude thread, I have used faulty logic, innuendo, and name calling, not of other members, but of politicians.
I had a tough weekend, was feeling a bit depressed, and took it out on the Republicans in our group.
Sorry.
While this may be standard procedures on political discussion boards, it is not what I expect of myself, or of Hatrack.
So I apologize.
In that vain, lets try to drop the garbage that is filling our political debates, and get to the real issues.
President Bush is not a religious fanatic looking to push his religion on the country.
Senator Kerry is not a wussy puppet of the Parisian elite.
President Bush is not a coward, an imbecile, nor man out to subvert our government into a fear filled dictatorship.
Senator Kerry is not a coward, an imbecile, nor a man out to subvert our government into a communistic socialistic state.
If President Bush is reelected, the country will survive.
If Senator Kerry is elected President, the country will survive.
In both cases, it will still be the greatest country on earth, in my opinion, and one of the greates, in most everyones opinion.
I hereby discount any argument, from any side, that contains any of the above.

:bump: I've not been a happy person of late. I really shouldn't have watched the debate. I'm much better off not knowing. That is not to say we should all just tune out and let the world go by. But for me it is apparently necessary. At least yesterday.
