What's nice about this is that they are figuring out heat issues on the G5, which means, that we are getting closer to G5 powerbooks.. mmhmmm

I'm heartily glad this doesn't look like a lamp.

Feh. I'm with Zevlag. Besides, it doesn't look nearly as good with a million peripherals scattered around it and cables going everywhere, but Bluetooth and Airport are BTO options, not standard. And, of course, the crippled FSB. A 1.6GHz G5 should have an 800MHz FSB.
Basically, it's overdue (thanks, IBM) and, as always, overpriced. Methinks I'll be sticking with my dual G5
G5 PowerBooks, OTOH, could be a big boost for Apple. I'm also somewhat curious to see if they'll redesign the PB case at all.

Zev, that was my first thought when I saw the link on Slashdot.
*starts saving more for G5 Powerbook*

I like my iMac-that-looks-like-a-lamp. A lot. And I love the fact that if I'm reclining reading hatrack with my feet on my desk and the angle of the sun through the window starts to create a glare, I can push the edge of the screen with a toe and fix the problem without stirring any further. So there.

Actually, I think I prefer the lamp design to this one. But in any case my days of iMac-owning are behind me now.

It boggles my mind that they didn't build in the bluetooth module. This is a design that screams for wireless peripherals.

... I have blue tooth on my iMac. And on my Sony Ericson T-610 phone. HEEEEE!

*bump*
So, how do folks like the iMac? Any problems? (especially, any problems with viruses?)
I've been using PCs forever now, but I've heard good things about the g5...
