I'm currently the only member of the Cotton Candy Clump.

Last Saturday my wife and I spent four hours spinning cotton candy on our machine for the neighborhood party. We went through two 25-pound sacks of sugar.

I just wanted to see if you guys could say hi to her if you run into her.. she laughs about everything, she's absolutely adorable and looks hawaiin, she's gorgeous and alot of fun to be around- she's majoring in Journalism I think- soooo - If you guys at BYU do happen to run into her and recognize her from this, ask her where she's from and then ask if she knows 'Wall' (that's what everyone knows me as here in Oregon.. until I go to college, I'm going by Jack there...) - why am I still writing? no one is actually going to do it, heh.

Okay, the "Oregon clump" has a lot more - and folks from Washington State, as Jonny tried to point out. I submit the Oregon clump should be called the PacNW clump - or the "gloom and doom" states in deference to the general misty, rainy, grey winter that lasts for at least 15 out of every 12 months . . . [Razz]

For some insight as to complete clumps, Pepek, check out foobonic pics of get-togethers . . .

(Gosh - we really are the last of the old west, aren't we . . . )

Does anyone remember the thread that had us pinpoint ourselves on the map? (add edit)

[Frown] Even me? With my West Virginia "clump" of 2 (me and *unknown Jatraquero*). Which is, in itself, not really very exciting, considering the other WVa'er is way on the other side of the state. I guess I could technically be considered a satelite to the Indiana clump, or, if we've decided that there is a Kentucky clump, I'd be nearer that one.

WV--Happy Camper

There were others, but I'm not sure what state they're in, and there are more Ohioans that didn't fess up and join the clump.

I found a couple of good places to eat in Austin last week:

Mama Ninfa's (Hwy183 @ I-35)
I had the carnitas plater. The pork was tender on the inside, crispy on the outside. Deeelish!

Chipotle (On Parmer, about 2 miles west of I-35)
They build your huge burrito to order while you watch. Mine had barbacoa (spicy, shredded beef), black beans, and avocado among other fillings. A real gut buster.

Austin has a Fry's Electronics...heaven for geeks. I wish they'd build one in Salt Lake.

Some Saturday as in this Saturday or a Saturday sometime in the future? At this point, either one works for me, although I will warn you that I know next to nothing about Austin so far - I haven't had much opportunity to get out and explore.

Let me pick your brains." That part at least, is a lot different than I expected.

I assume UNT is North Texas (you really don't want to know how long it took me to figure that out, particularly if I'm wrong)?

And I'm going to turn your question around on you, what's your program?

I'm getting a master's in tech writing at, yep [Smile] , University of North Texas in Denton while I'm still working in Dallas during the day. Coccinelle is getting her master's in education (I think...maybe French) from Texas Women's University.

Not that I've gone to class yet - my GRE scores didn't make it with my application so right now I was provisionally accepted until they get them, so I hadn't registered.

Speaking of, I need to go and call them, I think.

Does one have to have fallen asleep drunk for this to happen?

I want answers.

Actually to be perfectly honest.. the only time I ever drank was when I was somewhere around four or five and I told my dad that I was thirsty.. he handed me a cup and made me beleive it was apple juice.. I have never drinked alcohol since then.. and I have never liked my father since then either.. - I've also never done any drugs that weren't vital to my health.

I do happen to get in a sort of drunk-like moodthough when I don't sleep for two days.. and the only times I've woke up to kissing someone was after I hadn't slept for two days.. *shrugs* connection or no?

My lord and master the supreme kai pointed out that Pepek was confused about our family. Also I noticed that Mayday felt left out. So here to clear up the confusion is more complete information. Hatrack names are added in brackets.

ak's family clump:
ak = TheRopeOfAllah, [Tatiana, aka, ana kata]
fiances = kaioshin00 [kaioshin00], unkillableGrisha [Marek, Koga, Grisha], xxDamienAngelxx [DannyXCore, anti-Christ], BunnV [not a hatracker yet -- we totally must change this],
son = AndreyZazarineh [Boshenka],
daughters = sowdajee [^Saudade^], JaidenMR [Jaiden],
brothers = BernardLUE42 [BYUCnslr, InsanityPlea], AnEmptyTryst [CalvinMaker]
sister-in-law = MBWallace [MaydayDesiax]

As for why I have so many fiances, if you knew these 4 guys you'd have asked them to marry you too! Why did they say yes? That continues to astound and gratify me. You'll have to ask them that. [Smile] (But I totally have a testimony for plural marriage now.)

Hey, this all happened before I resumed the land of the connected.

I'm in Sri Lanka. If you can find it on a map, I'm close to Sri Jayawardenapura. If you can't find that, settle for Colombo.

Mr. Quid is also here, and his login ID is Fahim. he's boring. [Frown]

Is anyone updating the list anymore?

I'm in Texas. Not that I'm always happy about that, but hey, at least I'm by katharina and Coccinelle...

You can throw me in for New Jersey, too.

Is this list ever going to be updated with all the new additions? I'm kinda curious.

Cow, I'm pretty sure it is being updated periodically (although now that I look it is a few months behind LOL). I know I was added in about August and it was definitely updated since then.

I'm in Oklahoma. So far as I was aware there weren't too many other people here.

I live in the hearts of men, in the smiles of children. And in Alabama.

Another update for the list -- I've just moved, so take me out of the Missouri group (sorry, Dan_raven, you're now a group of one) and move me into the Virginia group.

This is kinda like a kid's game -- "Red rover, red rover, let plaid come over!"

*Dodges the Tennessee and Kentucky group and makes it over to the Virginia group! Woo hoo!* [Smile]

plaid, whereabouts in the commonwealth are you now?

I know we've got someone in Roanoke, someone in Fredricksburg, and I flit between Charlottesville and Falls Church.

Seriously, this needs updating.

Alternately, we could plead/beg/cajole/nag the mods/webmaster to allow us to display our location by our identiy. And add a siggy. And other things like that that would potentially allow for loads of fun. [Big Grin] And would result in much more bandwidth and hard drive space and all that jazz. [Frown]

Shoot. By June I will be in New York. I really don't know if it's even worth updating where I am now.

Okay, I know what "SoCal" and "NoCal" mean, but what the deuce is "HoCal"?

Dagonee -- I'm in Charlottesville! Where's Falls Church?

Posted by Dagonee (Member # 5818) on :

Falls Church is in Northern Virginia - about 9:00 on the Beltway, maybe 10 miles from DC. Are you attending the University here in C-Ville or is this just a coincidence?

If you take 29N from Charlottesville until just after it crosses the Beltway, you get to my house in Falls Church.

I'm living in Charlottesville for a while. I'm in between communities right now. I just moved from East Wind in Missouri, and I'm going to be moving to Twin Oaks Community (~40 minutes west of Charlottesville) -- www.twinoaks.org -- I'm taking a break for several months first to try to rest up and get my health in better shape.

Ooh. I know someone who lived (might still live) at Twin Oaks.

Who do you know? I know a lot of folks there, I've spent some time there over the years...

A woman named Leeanne. I met her about 12 years ago when she lived with friends from high school who were going to VCU.

Doesn't sound familiar, but she might go by a nickname or her middle name or something like that, I'll ask when I'm over there later today.

I'm bumping this just so it doesn't fall off into the abyss.

I was searching for it just to see who on here we might have being affected by hurrican Orphelia...
