Basically, using stem cells, docs were able to grow a new jawbone in this guys own back and transplant it to his jaw.

How cool.

If it were me, I'd keep the jaw on my back. Whole new kind of shudder hug with that one.

I'm reminded of Treason, with Rads growing extra body parts all over.

I read the title of this as "Transparent Jawbone.... cooool." And I thought that it was cool, but kind of odd.

It's even cooler when you read the title properly.

y'know after reading the article the patient seems like a huge whiner. They perform a cutting edge medical miracle, and he gets a face and jaw back and now he's whining about no teeth?

Some people aren't happy no matter what.

I'm not saying he hasn't been through horrible medical trauma or anything, don't get me wrong. But he just focuses on the negative, not "yes I can eat solid food again!" but, oh it takes me so long to cut up the food to small bites!

I was hoping he meant it as a joke, but you could be right.

AJ--I had the SAME THOUGHT.

Get out of my head.

*flees*

(I'm glad someone else remembers that cartoon)

I'm glad you remember it - otherwise my comment would sound exceedingly strange.

That's been my problem with it whenever I use that line. Most folks look at me quite strangely.

I mean, more strangely than normal for me.
