This is my first and last post for KamaCon! Tremble in jealousy before the Silver Tree of Heaven!

[Wink]

KamaCon is fun... we ate, we drank (well I guess that was just me, we had fun.

The first night I was terrified. A shaking blob of tree. But I got over it. [Wink] Um.. so the best part was going to the Art Institute and later that night after a few beers and getting used to each other. Many cheers to Space Opera and smoke time, Jenny Gardener and her Ghost Kitty, Kat and Happy Camper for being museum buddies and just cool. Thanks to AJ for organizing all of this and for Tom for being appointed leader. Oh, and as always the L was fun to ride.

And cheers for a nice night in the hotel bar debating life the universe and everything, and for discovering the shape of my new logo.

Well.... it's about time for me to leave... have a 5 hour drive back home fighitng construction. But I brought Wizard of Earthsea on tape for company.

Peace love and harmony! Long live OSC! Long live Hatrack!

I'm trying very hard not to hate you right now.

I'm succeeding because you're pretty cool. But it's still difficult.

Dagonee
P.S., Where's the green with envy graemlin?

[Grumble]

Can I say how very much I hate you all whenever these get-togethers happen? Because I do. I like you all after it's over, but for the duration, I hate you.

Hee hee,

Seeing this post reminds me of what happened yesterday with, the desk clerk at the hotel.

Several the women in our party agreed the desk clerk was hot. But they were debating whether he was gay or straight. He was wearing a very classy but flashy pink shirt and co-ordinating tie, as well as a very nice suit. He spoke with a slight foreign accent. We were debating whether the shirt was a statement on his sexual orientation or if his fashion incliniation was due to his foreign origins and/or general metrosexuality.

So we sent Teleperion on a reconissance mission. He agreed as to the attractiveness of the desk clerk but the sexual orientation was still ambiguous.

So Tom Davidson and I went down to remove the money from the hotel safe. The clerk approached us and asked if we needed help. We were already being waited on by another clerk but it gave us the perfect segueway.

Tom is smooth. He approached an awkward question in away that it wasn't awkward at all.

"Sir, several of the women in our party have been commenting over your attractiveness, the men out of jealousy have been insisting you are gay."

He laughed and said he was straight... much to Teleperion's chagrin.

[Wink]

One of my favorite moments was when someone mentioned Celia, and Papa Moose and Teleperion broke into spontaneous harmony of Celia You're Breakin' My Heart...

Telp is a really cool guy!

Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to talk with you much, Telp, except a bit that first evening. I think our groups went different ways. Would have loved to had a chance to talk with you more...

Anna, I loved that moment too! I wish we could've gotten them to do it again on tape. Curses!

I did, however, get some good footage of Telp boogying at the bus station with Jenny and Kat. *grins*

So you guys ended up breaking up into coherent, consistent smaller groups? That's interesting. What were the different groups, if you don't mind my asking. Why do you think that the larger group split in those particular groups? Was it just whoever ended up sharing a room, or what?

Posted by BannaOj (Member # 3206) on :

I don't think the smaller groups were either coherent or consistent, but in a constant state of flux. The trip to the City probably had the most consistent group for the longest amount of time, but even then people split up.

Yes, unfortunately, we did. It was really the only way to do it because there were SO MANY people that we really couldn't all fit into the hospitality room together at the same time.

Because of this, however, I missed some of the really cool stuff I wanted to see -- like the fencing, and the kite flying, etc. -- simply because I didn't realize it when those groups went off to do that. It was SO hard to choose which way to go;which group to be with -- and still try to get some time with each Hatracker..

Telperion was incredibly fun. The first night, he sort of hung in the doorway and stared at the group with big eyes. I knew exactly how he felt. By the time we got to the museum on Saturday, everyone was completely comfortable. Telperion also rubbed some of the knots of the backs of me and AJ, and for that I am eternally grateful. It was so much fun!! The only sad part was that Telp couldn't stay for longer. [Smile]

KamaCon made me feel like I was back at college. [Smile]
