A while ago, a Hatracker (I think it was Black Fox, but I'm not sure) recommended that I download "Duluth" by Mason Jennings. I did - cautiously, however, as he described it as country. And country sucks. ('Course, iTunes labelled some of his songs as pop, some as folk, and some as country - but what do they know?)

As it happened, I liked it. I even thought his twangy voice added to the song, which is a first for me. He has a fullness to it that's lacking in most country-ish singers.

However, as "Duluth" was really only a drum and his voice, I had no idea what his guitar work was like.

Today, I bought his self-titled CD. It's only eight songs ($7.92 off iTunes), but they're GOOD songs. While his guitar work is fairly refined, it's evident that he finds his musical bliss in his simplicity.

Anyway, I just wanted to know if there are any other fans of his music here at Hatrack.

I've like Mason Jennings for years. Never *quite* enough to buy one of his albums myself, but enough to listen to them at my friends' houses.
