Yeah, finished off a couple month underway. Pulled into San Diego Two weeks ago. The internet connection on the ship is soooooooo f'n slow, I didn't want to post until I got a place out in town. I decided I would post this once and maybe a follow up.

I have no pictures yet, they have yet to be developed, and/or sent to me. I will try and get those out whenever I can.

I like California when compared to Virginia, but I miss my 4 seasons already. Oh, and I miss the cheaper things in life. Thankfully, a friend of mine left his vehicle here for some of us to use while he is on leave.

Have fun and be safe. I have to go apartment/town house/condo/whatever hunting.

[edited to add that if this post reads real bad, it's because I got very little sleep last night. And Dodgeball is is a good funny movie]

If cost is an issue, try east county. Not the best place to live, but cheaper than anywhere nearer the water... Best of luck to you, sir.

AAAAAARGH! I hate this slow connection. A friend and I are looking at getting a place out in town. Go cable internet access [Smile]

. Oh well. I'm still excited that I got to shake hands and get my picture taken with Ozzy at the Ozzfest in Devore.

I am w/o car now, because my friend came back off of leave. That's ok because I got sun burned at Mission Beach on Saturday. Hot showers take a little effort now.

Also, I found out that the friend I was renting from in VA has been called to go to Iraq. He leaves by the end of the week. I fly to VA on the 20th to pick up my truck. Thankfully he is leaving the house key locked up in my truck, so I can get in to get the rest of my stuff out.

I guess things are going well so far. I have no real complaints.

A-C: We are looking at Chulla Vista. They are building a lot of new units around there. Oh, and please...don't call me sir. I'm blue shirt scum, MMC's little blue tool, dependable but expendable, and anything else he decides for the day. In other words...I work for a living.
