My Mom needs some cool friends. She's a cool artsy lady, perhaps a bit too Republican for some peoples' tastes, but very bright and vivacious. She has the misfortune, however, of living in a very small town and living with 5 children and jobs to support them. She needs some intellectual stimulation.
If you would be interested in writing my Mom an email, I would be very grateful. It doesn't have to be profound - it can be a story you like or a simple thought or a (relatively clean) joke. Just something to brighten her day.
Just to be safe, I won't post her email here because I don't want anyone I don't know to get ahold of it, but if you'd like to drop her a note, email me at blueroosterdesign AT gmail DOT com and I shall give you her digits.
Thanks, friends!

Annie -- does she live in Montana like you? I'm assuming since you are young, your mother is probably my age?
Give me a shout at the e-mail in my profile and tell me your mom's e-mail address. It would be fun to start up correspondence. (we can talk about you behind your back)

Are we allowed to write to her and try to talk her out of being Republican?

Heh. You could try, Tom, but I think she's going to the grave with a Bush campaign sign. Posted by Annie (Member # 295) on :
And snailmail would be a lovely idea, if you're the wonderful sort of person who invests that sort of time !

Sent her an e-mail Annie -- hope she doesn't think it's SPAM! LOL
gah! Hard to think of what to say in an introductory e-mail when you don't even know the person!

That seems harsh, but I suppose it's one way to get rid of all the Bush campaign signs.

Just as a relief from this unprecedented hilarity I wanted to interject something to the effect of Annie's Mom really is great, she's fun, funny, and a very nice lady.
