They remind me of a Chocobo crossed with a Furby. Everytime that commercial comes on TV encouraging viewers to CALL NOW! and find out more about alpacas, I just sit there and smile and tell my family, "I love Alpacas too". Then I sigh. (Usually, I would throw the remote or the phone at the TV and go insane at the stupidity of such a commerical). But not Alpacas...
(And, I really do like alpacas. My neighbor has one. It's quite lovely.)

I am also a lover of Alpacas. Their fur makes great yarn, and is so soft. I'm just dying to get my hands on some alpaca roving and feed it to my spinning wheel.

In my day, confessing a love for domestic animals could get you thrown in jail, or at least everyone would look at you kind of funny.
I like alapaca wool products (sweaters, blankets, etc.) The animals themselves...well, they have interesting biology and are related to camels. But love??? Nah.

There's an alpaca farm really close to where I am now, near my cousins... I've been to it a few times, it's fun! I haven't yet this trip, but hey, I've only been here three days so far... I DO have a year!

Christy says she has seen the "call now about alpacas" commercial, but I have no memory of it whatsoever. I'm actually bemused.
