I think there are lots of people who like him, but probably very few who are like him. [Big Grin]

Is this what that other thread is about? Are you stalking johnny Depp?

Posted by Da_Goat (Member # 5529) on :

Or are you saying he would make a good Bond?

Posted by Synesthesia (Member # 4774) on :

Oooo. Johnny Depp in a Tuxedo.. *droolage*
I tried so hard not to have a crush on that actor. Failed. He's much too talented and has the best eyes in hollywood.
But, sadly he hasn't gotten ONE OSCAR which is unfair.

No, I said he would make a good Bond.

of course, it was after peaking into this thread and thought, "Hmmm, The name's Bond, Captain Jack Bond."

Mmmm...Johnny Depp... *drool*

He's too good to be Bond. I have a feeling the Bond movies would have to do some serious growing-up and changing in order to fit around Johnny Depp.

Johnny Depp would make a good Tony Stark in the Iron Man movie.

*awaits the criticism*

Do I like him?

mmmm...

Though I'm not sure about Johnny Bond. What I love about a lot of his characters is their slightly eccentric tendancies - I'm not sure that would play well in a Bond film. But I am really looking forward to seeing him play Willy Wonka.

He's so beautiful. I can't wait to see him in Finding Neverwhere... on a huge nice screen... *wistful sigh*
*tried so hard not to crush on that guy...*

Given his tendency for bizarre characters, I'm actually afraid of his interpretation of Willy Wonka.

Of course, Gene Wilder didn't do much better - I'm afraid Wonka himself makes me nervous.

I'd gladly accept Johnny Depp into my male harem.

He did a willy wonka???
Or is this just conjecture?

Posted by imogen (Member # 5485) on :

In what way, Trevor?

I really like the character in the books. I thought Gene Wilder was good, but not especially true to the books. But then I thought that the film was a good film but not a good adaptation.

Songs *pah*. Americanised *double pah*.

I think Depp could make a very interesting Wonka that is more true to Dahl's original vision.

He's in the process of filming as Willy Wonka. I'm highly excited for it, personally. The combination of Tim Burton directing and Johnny Depp starring is bound to be fascinating. [Smile]

Yep, Johnny Depp's just about the hottest man alive, I must say...But that's just my opinion. [Big Grin]

Maybe I'm just old and cynical Imo - but the whole Willy Wonka thing screams pedophile to me.

So much so I can't enjoy the character.

Acording to the imdb listing, Christopher Lee is in Willy Wonka, too. *ponders* Maybe he's the "bad" guy? (can't remember his name)

Edit: Mr. Slugworth

I'll add him to my male harem too...

Jonny Depp...the new Christopher Walken.

Didn't Chris dress up as Jack Sparrow for Halloween and look uncannily like him? Or did I dream that? (Which opens up a whole host of questions I don't know if I want to get in to)
