My house was just invaded. My friend Patty (from Tampa, but now just moved to College Station) just dropped in for 10 minutes. Nice.
She has 3 kids, a 5 year old and two 3 year olds (twins).
If we could harness that energy, we could end world dependence on foreign oil.
I had a ball. It was like watching a tornado from a safe distance.
The kids wanted to see every inch of the house. It was hilarious! Zoom! Three kids, three directions. Smokey hasn't had this much fun since she was a puppy.
Then, they'd all come back together, 3 kids and one hyper dog, chasing each other. LOL.
I miss them... Smokey is still panting. Guess I'd better make sure she has some cool water to drink.
I also forgot that little kids fit through the doggy door.
LOL.

Isn't that great. Of course, it's a lot more tolerable in 10-minute doses. But I hope when I have my own I can still appreciate it after 5 years.

It's called "child labor", Bob. Love it. Promote it. Enjoy it.

Bob,
Not to put undue pressure on you, but I think you would be a really cool Dad.
(Don't tell dkw though)...

Bob,
My daughter is 14 so those halcyon (yeah right) days are gone. I remember when she was a toddler she would get more and more frenetic as she got tired. We could always tell it was time for bed when she was zooming around the house like a whirling dervish.

Why is it that when they leave after 10 minutes, you are the one that always feels as if you'd run a marathon while wearing giant clown shoes? I'm exhuasted after my sister and her 3 kids visit for 20 minutes!

Alucard...
Thanks. One can never tell...
dkw and I have certainly decided to have children. The question is whether they'll have us!
I'm counting on her to be a really great mom because my main reason for wanting children is so I can play with them and their toys.
Plus I like to read to kids.
I'm not sure about my disciplinary skills. I'm going to have to rely on being a LOT bigger than they are and mainly get my way through intimidation.
I don't know who is going to hate time outs more, me or them. I mean, shoot, I'll have to sit there without my little playmates while they're being punished.
Of course, I could just play with dkw. She's a lot of fun too.
By the way, I don't believe in spankings. But I do believe in lassos.

For you or her, Bob?

The google ads on this page are highly amusing.

Kwea...I wasn't aware that this was an either/or kind of thing.

Bob,
My wife's friends always ask her what it is like with three kids at home, but we only have two children. Took me a while to get that one...

Go ahead, Dags, laugh all you want now. *smug*

Bob: "By the way, I don't believe in spankings. But I do believe in lassos."
Kwea: "For you or her, Bob?"
Kwea, did you mean the spankings, or the lassos, or both?

Last week I looked after nine whirlwinds. I was supposed to teach them some music. We did D and F and fingers and I think they got that much, but it was crazy.
The whirlwinds next week are older but I get them for longer.
