There's a talent show coming up. Coccinelle is making me and her sparkly pants, and her brother is getting a sparkly vest. We are doing silent tap dancing. That's right - all the arm flourishes, all the enthusiastic smiles and tap-taping around the stage. We will just be wearing sneakers, since we can't actually tap dance.

Normally, Catherine would just get up there and wing it, but since there will be three of us, there are only 12 acts, it's fairly formal, and it will be for an audience of about 350... uh, maybe we should rehearse something. Catherine's pretty sure she mentioned it was a joke act when she signed us up.

So, what's a good movie with a tap-dancing routine that we could watch and copy for inspiration?

p.s. The show's in a week and a half. And those are PINK sparkly pants. We have engaged someone to take pictures.

Singin in the rain? I guess umbrellas wouldn't go good with pink sparkly pants though.

The "Fit as a Fiddle" routine from singing in the rain is cool, though. Or "Good Morning"

We've thought about pink parasols, actually. Edged with tassle rope.

Singing in the Rain is a good idea. Rehearsal is this Friday.

When I read the first post, I assumed kat was talking about pink, sparkly hot pants, but then I thought, No, probably not.
