So we're adding a radio show to the website of the magazine I work for, and I'm trying to find the best possible software to mix, edit, and output sound in RealPlayer format in two different sizes.

I've taken a look at Adobe Audition, but it seems a bit beyond what I need. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm a little lost.

Thank you [Smile]

PS -- Has to run on Windows 2000

I think you'll find more friends and listeners if you stream in something more cross-platform (by platform I mean audio player), like mp3.

Sorry, this is outside the realm of my practical experience.

Are you going to be handling the program yourself or is there a dedicated geek?

fugu, it's an uphill battle. I already had to talk them out of using Windows Media Player.

The main trouble is that an enormous proportion of British internet users are still on dial-up. MP3 just isn't practical speed wise.

And yes, there is a dedicated geek.

Provide both, then. MP3 streams are really easy to produce, so adding them isn't a big deal.

Oh, and offer downloads. Much more dialup friendly than streaming in any format.
