19 golfers with one blow!

Really, guys. Don't be in the open when there is a thunderstorm...

I thought that was common sense? [Roll Eyes]

He's the ONLY one who can hit a one-iron.

a friend of my parents' was hit by lightning on a golf course about 10 years ago. She survived, and went through a lot of recuperation. She still plays golf. Actually, my mom told me that a few months ago there was another thunderstorm when this woman was out on the golf course. An attendant at the club drove a golf cart to her, and she got in. He drove it too quickly and she fell out when he turned a curve and broke a bone.

I don't know if God hates golfers in general. Maybe it's just those that play in tournaments on the Sabbath. This strike was on a Saturday, you know, the actual Sabbath, so, I wouldn't put it past him to make a point. Of course, if you believe the Sabbath is on Sunday, you could look at it as either retribution for playing on all those other Sundays, or a preemptive strike for the next day.

Someone in that group gave him the finger. God had to work on his aim a bit.

I think God finally got fed up with golfers calling themselves athletes.

Strange that the odds of getting hit by lightning just skyrocketed.

Wouldn't that be he plays a 19 iron?

Yup, that's what they deserve for playing golf.

At least one of those golfers is a friend of the couple whose cabin we stayed at last weekend. They told us that one of the golfers was in a coma, and they asked us to keep him in our prayers. Sounds like he pulled through okay, though.

Sheesh, what a downer, Jon Boy.

[Wink]

Seriously, I'm glad he's okay. I can't imagine the feeling.

And has his own agenda....
