...my husband bought me some breast milk storage bags and a bucket of laundry detergent.

Okay, to be fair, we don't have much money right now. Doctor bills and such, you know.

And he promised to take me out to the restaurant of my choice when he gets paid again in a couple of weeks.

But still...

On the upside, my parents came over today and Mom made us dinner. Barbeque ribs, mashed potatoes, corn-on-the-cob, and green jello! Just like when I was a kid. Maybe that's why my butt could double as a life raft... oh, well...

Maybe I should have been more clear...this was a lame attempt at humor, not a bid for sympathy. But thanks anyway. [Big Grin]

Hey, at least he didn't forget it all together. I had that happen after over a decade of marriage.

I forgot my own birthday once. I figure after that, everyone else gets one free one.

And I'm not so good with remember other people's. Okay. Two free ones.

Ah, well do I remember the days of stored breastmilk.

Imagine the money you could make if it were legal to sell that stuff.

Ah well!

Happy Birthday and many, many more!

Cool! Happy Birthday (late, sorry)!

Funny, I had a baby just before my 28th birthday, too. Robert was born the sixth of June and I turned 28 on the 24th. [Smile]

Yeah, my birthday is today. I'm 35 now. The hubby got me the new the new Gunslinger book (which he read first). I think he actually has plans to take me out to dinner and a movie tonight, while leaving the boys with his younger brother.

Many Happy Returns of the Day!

[Party]

heehee - well, hey. You have a good sense of humor about it. Happy birthday (a little late)! [Party]

Hey, Boon, you wouldn't happen to know what time of day you were born? And, I suppose, in what time zone?

Posted by Bob the Lawyer (Member # 3278) on :

Actually, Shan. I'm pretty sure you could find someone to buy breastmilk and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be against the law. I've learned that I can buy just about anything I want from the States, *someone* has to be selling it.

Oh, and happy birthday, Boon.

I have no idea on the "authenticity" of this website.

I have 72 bottles of breast milk in the freezer (most of them are the 9 oz. bottles, not the 5 oz.). At least I won't have to spend too much on formula once Superstation is weaned.

Saxon: 12:10 pm central.

I'm researching the breastmilk thing. I'll start another thread with the results.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, OLIVETTA! [Party]

Boon, I was 12:01 PM, Pacific Time. Maybe we can ignore the time zone thing and still claim we share the same birth hour (well, three years apart, but still). Whaddaya say?

Posted by Boon (Member # 4646) on :

Heck, I'll claim we were twins. How's that? [Razz]

Sounds good to me. [Smile]

Happy Birthday!!!

I am sure it is legal to sell breastmilk, if you have all the requisite tests.
