Duct tape will not fix everything.
It may fix a broken heart, or a broken EP valve, or a broken trombone. It may fix a broken arm or a broken vow or a broken two handed sword.
However it is not recommended for fixing...
ducts.
The condensation that most air ducts accumulate causes the tape not to stick.
Note: I said Ducts, not Ducks. I have no experience trying to duct tape ducks, no matter what the prosecution says.

I saw a girl at a play who had made a handbag out of duct tape. It was very cool.
Apparently, there are contests to make things, and you can use only duct tape. I have always said, camping without tarps, (bubie) cords, and duct tape is a dangerous venture.

A lot of the International staff at my camp thought Americans were crazy because anytime anything broke, we locals would just go, "Where's the duct tape? Duct tape fixes everything." I'm not saying we aren't crazy, that just isn't the reason.

When I was in camp a few years ago, a counselor and I made an entire suit of duct tape for him to wear. It was pretty stylish if you ask me. And my beach house in Duck, N.C. is named "Duck" Tape.

Everyone should have two things: duct tape, and WD-40. If it moves and it's not supposed to, use duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40.

Dad says school duct-taped son's pants DUNLAP, Ind. (AP) — An outraged father of a seventh-grader says an assistant principal duct-taped his son's pants to keep them from sagging then sent him back to class.
Scott Allison told the Concord School Board on Monday that his 12-year-old son, Spencer, said last week that a teacher asked him to lift his shirt after she noticed the boy's underwear was showing above his pants, a violation of Concord Junior High School's dress code.
She sent him to Assistant Principal Patricia Walters, who told Spencer to pull up his pants and tuck in his shirt, Allison said.
"She then proceeded to duct tape his waist, three times around the waist," said Allison. "Then she sent him back to class, in front of his peers."
He said he worried his son would be mocked by his classmates at the school in the town about 20 miles east of South Bend.
"This outrages me and shocks me," Allison said.
Allison also said that Spencer's underwear would not have been exposed if the shirt was left down.
"I don't understand what motivated her to ask him to lift up his shirt," he said.
Board President Randall Myers said the board would not discuss personnel issues in public. Junior high Principal Kevin Caird said student discipline is confidential.

Shoot me, but I'm actually rooting for that teacher and that assistant principal! I've never understood why people insist on wearing pants that barely cover their hips, and especially when the crotch is hanging down to their knees. If nothing else, I think it's a safety hazard.

Actually, the Wal-Mart craft section has patterned duct tape. That's how we ran out: making cute outfits for ducks.

I had an acquaintance that made the assertion that duct tape was the creation of ancient Scotsmen in an attempt to be thrifty. They called it "duc tap" (dook taup) and it's been with us ever since. I wish I had a copy or link to that essay, it was funny as heck.

I found camo and checkered duct tape before. Coolest stuff ever. With duct tape, PB Blaster and a Sawzall, anything is possible.
