My husband just finished his. So, how do you get it higher on the google page?

He's goofy, so don't blame me for any of the text.
I tried to talk him out of it.

First, get a real domain name. Second, get high ranked googled websites to link to it.

the text is a little... odd. I won't blame you, though.

I liked the celtic plates best.

You can get a domain name for $5 (per year) pretty much anywhere, I personally like using godaddy.

I'd have him think about how his product relates to his design. What do the cogs have to do with etched glass? How does the flash banner at the top of the page relate to his product?

The showiness of the banner combined with how low the navigation is loses the name of the site.

Not too bad, better than a lot of sites out there, but could do with some work to tie it back into his product.

Troubs, I think that there wasn't anything that was more related, though I agree with you about the cogs.

I think he is planning on getting a real domain name, but I have no idea when or what it will be. custometchedglass.com and etchedglass.com are already being used and I think he got stuck after that.

If anyone has any ideas about a domain name, he's open to suggestions.

dabbler, he says he is going for "professional, but fun." Personally, I think he should be going for professional, but what do I know? He likes the Celtic stuff, too. He's even more enamored with the Celtic stuff that has Chinese symbols in it. The way I figure it, as soon as he finds someone who is half Celtic and half Asian, he'll actually sell one of them. [Wink]

Another thing I think he should add is the kitchen stuff. He can replicate wall paper, and has for a kitchen design store. The stuff he can do in a Kitchen/bathroom is pretty cool and people with that kind of money are the people he's trying to attract. But, again, what do I know?
