i've owned it for months now but i am just now finally "getting" Mars Volta. i had to put my AT THE DRIVE IN expectations on hold and listen to it for what it is.

Deloused in the Comatorium is indeed a good record. I've listened to it 3x through this afternoon alone. i was just a little slow on the appreciation of it.

that is all.

wait, one more thing, i think i should grow an afro.

The Mars Volta is one of my all time favorite bands. They put on one of the best high-intensity live shows. You should really see them when first chance you get.

i'll work on the fro. i had a chance to see At The Drive In a couple times. those guys pout on an INTENSE show so i'd assume mars volta would as well. i remember the last time i saw ATDI (it wasin denver) cedric and omar seemed to be surviving on just cigarettes, coffee, and seemingly heroin. they were literally shaking and looked weak as hell. but cedric put so much energy in his vocal performance and the whole band was thrashing about. it was f**king amazing! i want to see thes guys but i was afraid that they would be a bit subdued and i'd be disappointed.
