My friend recently bought a video game that, when inserted into his computer, refuses to be read by the CD drive. We did the same thing with my computer, and it still doesn't even acknowledge that there's a CD in there. Any ideas?

It it a legitimate copy, like from the factory, or is it something someone burned a copy of?

Or it could be a DVD-Rom instead of a CD-Rom.

Or is it a Os/MAC specfic game?

Or its a bad press (bad legit copy). Sometimes happens. I bought Dark Legion way back when. CD was bad and had to exchange it.
