I just entered a contest based on the show, the grand prize of which is worth $17,015. If there is a tie, the winner is decided by asking the tied people trivia questions about the TV show. I just saw the first and only episode I've ever seen this week. Can anybody give me a quick primer? Plot summaries? Is that a garage or a guest house in his backyard?

Thanks. [Smile]

Man, I wish I could help you. I saw about two episodes, and know it fits the basic sitcom pattern -- ridiculously hot wife for relatively unattractive man, saucy ugly wench in the background...

It sucks, really. But while I can't help you with the contest, I'd really advise picking up Lopez's three stand-up comedy CDs, especially since you're Latino. It's the best freaking comedy you've ever heard. Better than Carlin, better than Pryor, better than Chappelle... But then, judge for yourself.

I'll look out for it. [Smile]

Have you ever heard Guillermo Alvarez Guedes?

EDIT to correct spelling of Guedes

I watched it occasionally till it moved to Friday nights. But I don't seem to remember much . . .

Let's see, he's of Mexican descent, and his mom is a pain-and-a-half. His wife is of Cuban descent, and her dad is a jerk.

They have kids. A girl and a boy? Two girls and a boy? Um . . . Boy gets in trouble a lot. [Roll Eyes]

He works . . . hmm. I'm thinking factory? I can picture his office . . .

Anyway, look here for lots more.

I hadn't heard of him, but I'll be buying it as soon as I find it.

Here, EBay... Here boy...

Hmm. He doesn't seem to exist.

Guillermo Alvarez Guedes

I'm not sure if he ever did anything in English. But if you're looking to practice your Spanish, he's funny as hell--and vulgar as hell too. You'd like him! [Wink]

Icky enters a contest to find hidden Mickeys. Major shocker. *smile* Sorry, Icky -- never seen the show myself. Just happened by the channel when they were talking about the contest. Good luck anyway. Wait, can I say that when you're not performing? Should I still say break a leg? What's the etiquette on that?

Oh, I sent my entry last night. And I found a LOT. I think/hope I have a pretty good chance. But I'd never seen the show before (which was their POINT, no?), so if there's a tie, I could be in trouble! I'll study that episode guide--thanks! [Smile]

Oh, and "Good luck" is just peachy! [Smile]

That was a fun episode. I lost count, though. Would have done better with a voice recorder to dictate locations then transcribe afterward. I can't write that fast and watch for Mickeys too.

Good Luck, Icarus.

We actually ended up submitting two entries. We watched the show a second time and found a few more Mickeys. Anyway, we should hear if we won or not within the next few days.

(You know, it takes hours to watch a thirty-minute show frame-by-frame [Smile] )

Wish I was here earlier. I've seen nearly every episode...I love that show so much. I watch that, and Scrubs, and that's about it.
