Ive been all about smarty jones all week and now hes the favorite.

I don't have strong feelings about any of the horses running, but it's been a long time since I've had a clear favorite going into the Derby.

I think I like Imperialism and Master David the best. They like sloppy tracks, they've got good jockeys and they've got good post positions.

Smarty Jones likes mud and has a chance, but he's starting pretty far out and he's the favorite. Favorites rarely ever win the Derby.

Most of the other horses that the 'experts' are picking are either starting from close in (Lion Heart) or from far out (Tapit), neither of which bode well for the horse.

We'll see what happens in a few minutes.

Yeah, but Smarty won a lot more than you. $5 million on top of the Derby purse. And I'm sure they'll be going after the Triple Crown, now.

<---- really wants to see a Triple Crown winner.
