So who else uses itunes. I love it, easy to rip your CDs, the party shuffle is a great semi random playlist (it weights higher rated songs a bit heavier than low rated songs when it generates a list) and you can buy songs for .99. Of course there are those that argue that you can get them for free on kazza, but on kazza you have to try multiple times to get a song that finishes a download, does not cut off early, or does not have annoying beeping or crap in it. This way not only are you legal, you get the song you want when you want it.

No, I think it's very fair to have a separate thread for players and for download services. I think the major commercial services are all dumb, but have no problems getting partisan about players: J River's Media Center 10 is downright orgasmic, and I defy anyone to argue otherwise.
