I haven't seen a great Tom Hanks movie in a long time. Sure, Hanks was fun to watch in "Catch Me if You Can" and I loved certain parts of "Castaway," but Hanks recent movies have not resonated with me like my all time favorites like "Big" or "Forrest Gump."

People say Hanks is the everyman. True. But I think a more accurate description is that Hanks portrays the man that every man wants to be: Goofy but intelligent, gruffy but kind, innocent but wise. Hanks represents the best illusions Americans have about themselves.

I have great hopes for his upcoming movie, the Terminal. I know all the usual objections against Spielberg's sentimentalism. But I have a good feeling about this one. [Smile]

I agree. I caught the trailer earlier today while cruising apple movie trailers. It looks awesome.

I saw the trailer in the theater, and it looks good.

I'm so tired that I can't even remember what movie we went to see [Dont Know] ....I remember liking it, but not what it was about. Not even the title....wow.

I'm going to bed. [Sleep]

Thanks for cluing me into this one! I hadn't seen the trailer (have now!) or heard of it -- and I'm a huge Tom Hanks fan. I have got to see this!

The story is written by Andrew Niccol, who also wrote Truman Show and Gattaca. [Smile]

I am betting Hanks is shooting to run for political office at some point in the future....

According to the TV spot, Friday June 18th. [Smile]

By the way, CZJ looks absolutely amazing.

One of my best friends has twins and they are in this movie with their mom. (Actually only one of the boys is in the flick) It's a scene in downtown LA where a paper with a phone number falls from the sky kind of like the feather in Forrest Gump.

The twins also play the boy, Henry, on the Reba show on WB, fwiw

I heard about this a while ago and have been interested. Didn't know the trailer was out, thanks for that. Looks good.

After seeing the trailer, I am very excited to see this movie. I guess the trailer did its job well.
