3000 on trains? Must of exploded at a crowded station. That is as many people as died at the world trade center--that number seems awfully high.

Awful. Any north Koreans here?

I expect that at this point, 3000 is just code for "a hell of a lot of people". I expect that it'll be awhile before the numbers firm up.

Hmmm...I wonder why N. Korea is trying to keep information about this from the international community. Just their usual secrecy, or something more?

It occurred to me that it could have been an assination attempt, but that seems fairly unlikely.

An assassination attempt also occurred to me, but it seems unlikely. You never know. That 3000 figure includes both injuries and fatalities, though, so it's not quite as high as it first appears.
