Hi, all. I'm a newbie, so I apologize if this subject has already been discussed. (I did a search under "phobos," but couldn't find anything recent). Anyone know why the www.phobosweb.com site doesn't work any more? Have they made a new site? Or will there not be any contest this year? (Or could it be something as simple as the server being down?) I don't know about Phobos, but we have some (a?) past winners here on the board. I'm sure they will know something.

Hi, aka. Sorry about that. I tried to register as simply "Spaceman Spiff" but it said either the User Name or the Displayed Name was already taken. So I changed both. After it accepted me with a different User Name, I tried to go back and see if it would let me change the Displayed Name, but it's not an allowable field for maintenance. Spiff.

They're fixing the site. There will definitely be a contest. Phobos recently hired a new editor, John Ordover, who is quickly whipping things into shape.

Just checked the Phobos site again, and it's still not working.

As for my user name, oh well, this is the name I chose, and it won't let me change it. (Not that I would want to, anyway).
