Matt wants some attention.

He's tired of "aw, mack." "so happy for mack."

Well...

I'm happy for Matt. [Wink]

[Kiss]

And let's hope he won't start planning my demise with this thread. o_O

I find myself firmly in the Pro-Matt camp.

Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

People who have posted 1000 posts in what, 3 years? should not be surprised that other people simply don't feel they know them all that well.

That said, I'm happy for Matt too. [Big Grin]

Aw, Matt.

So happy for Matt!

[The Wave]

Posted by Ophelia (Member # 653) on :

I'm happy for both of you.

Actually, I've met Jamie, so I know that Matt is really lucky here. I just have to take Jamie's word for it that she is, too. [Smile]

Matt, your leprachaun Buddy Icon was scaring me. Thanks for changing it. By the way, I have nothing better to do than read peoples away messages and look at their buddy icons when at work.

Anyway, huge congrats to you, Matt!

Posted by Vána (Member # 3262) on :

Well, some of us are just too slow to have figured out that Matt=FlyingCow.

[Embarrassed]

I'm happy for both of you! [Smile]

Hmm... chopped liver, or ground beef? [Dont Know]

(using my alternate nick until I figure out what I'ma do for my Landmark...)

Rivka: It's all about quality over quantity... you just don't post in the right threads. [Wink]

But this all stems from my comment to Jamie that no one would notice if I stopped posting for three months...

...and quite frankly, they wouldn't, and I wouldn't expect them to. In fact, I'd be a bit shocked if they did.

My first thought after I read
quote:
Flying Cow feels like Chopped Liver
Was "Mack didn't trade in her thumping stick for a knife did she?"
[Wink]

AJ
And the pictures of both of you are sickeningly cute!

I know Mattt is most definitely lucky. I sure hope the same for Jamie!

Sigh. I have a number of issues here.

I thought Flying Cow was a girl.

I did not know Flying Cow was dating Mack.

I am not really sure that Flying Cow is dating Mack.

I cannot keep up with all the stuff going on.

You mean the Angel/Buffy threads? Or the sports threads? If those are the "right" threads, I'll pick the "left" ones. [Big Grin]

That is where all the cool people hang out!

Jeez, Matt. Congrats.
Now for the important stuff...
Can you get mack convinced that watching Angel/Buffy reruns together really is "quality time"? [Smile]

Posted by Procrastination (Member # 4821) on :

Rivka: Actually, I've been posting remarkably little lately. I'm normally in the education threads and piracy threads, also in the gun control threads and, from time to time, in political threads, mainly dealing with the party system.

I tend to avoid the hatrack hot topics that get 400 posts in two days. I don't check often enough, and, after three years, the same arguments have grown tiresome. But yeah, lately, it's been Jamie and Angel. Well, mostly Jamie (that sports psych thread was hers, after all). [Wink]

Elizabeth: I am FlyingCow using a pseudonym. Yes, I am a guy. (ask mack, Olivet, Slash, Keats, porce, sarahdipity, jexx or the Cards (er, minus Geoff) for proof on that score... [Big Grin] ... and, um, I guess there are pictures now, too). I am also dating Jamie/mackillian, such as it is, us being five hours apart and all. [Frown]

I am also very happy about all that... you know, being a guy, first of all, and dating Jamie besides. The latter is a more recent development, and I find myself musing on that happiness more often, it seems. [Taunt]

Matt (aka FlyingCow) was at Boot Camp a few years ago, with Slash, Jenny G and Caleb. I met him there, too. Plus he lived around here for a while and had Thanksgiving with me and my in-laws. [Big Grin]

So I know both Matt and Jamie in RL, and they are both very lucky. [Taunt]

Matt, I have noticed in the past when you weren't around, if I was around (which... you know... life and all).

I feel a warm glow inside when I think of you two hitting it off so well. *warm glow* Attempts have been made to give to give me 'credit' for getting them talking, but I didn't really do anything deliberate. [Evil Laugh]

But let's not put too much pressure on them, you guys. We don't wanna 'Bennifer" them to death. [Laugh]

"being a guy, first of all, and dating Jamie besides. The latter is a more recent development,"

I am glad that it is the latter that is a recent development.

When I first came onto Hatrack, I posted to Jamie as if she was a guy, and I always thought Flying Cow was a girl. I just don't know what it all means, subliminally, you know?

Edited because i wrote "Former" instead of "latter," further confusing the whole subliminal thing.

Well, Matt didn't e-mail me either to let me know about this, so he should feel like chopped liver. [Razz]

And while the other theories about why some seem happier for mack than FC are nice and all, the actual reason should make him feel pretty good. No one was worried about him finding someone worthy of him. We figured he'd do okay. You are the flake we were concerned about. [Kiss]

Mack, you were in a dream I had last night. I remember that it was a fairly ordinary dream (about everyday stuff, nothing terribly strange or trippy) When I woke up, one of my earliest thoughts was, wow, I have to tell Hatrack! But the details of the dream evaporated in my brain, and now all I remember is that it was ordinary and you were in it.
