I've got a bump on my left hand's middle finger. It's on the left side, and around a third the size of a pea. It's like a natural projection: skin covers the bump.
Anyway, it doesn't do anything, but it bothers me.
Anyone know what it is?

Bump.
Ooh. I've got one of those on the middle finger of my right hand. It's near the cuticle, and my fingernail has started to grow distorted where the bump is. It doesn’t hurt, but I had my doctor look at it anyway. He squeezed it, but nothing came out. He told me to wait and see if anything breaks through the skin. Well it’s been six months, and something is finally starting to emerge. It looks like a tiny black ring. Then I remembered that my middle finger is exactly where I caught myself when putting a worm on a fishhook last summer. I’ll bet I’ve got some crazy parasite living in there. When I get home tonight I’m going to zap it with electrical current.

Could be a ganglionic cyst. I've got one - it doesn't hurt or interfere with motion so my doctor said to just keep an eye on it.
Makes it hard to pay attention to the road when I'm driving.
