rant/

Tonight's restaurant night. On Tuesday nights, I take the kids (hubby works most Tuesday nights) out to eat. Tonight, we stop at Sonic for dessert. Get hot fudge sundaes.

First, the plastic lid they put on them attaches to the OUTSIDE rim of the cup they put the icecream in. So softserve is dripping before we even start trying to figure out how to get the things off.

Then, they've filled the cup so full that the icecream is squished up against the side of the lid, all the way around.

Now, How the H*LL am I supposed to get the darn lid off the thing without a lapful of sticky sweet liquid?!?!

/endrant

Sorry, had to get it out.

Sounds like they've hired some 16-year-old kid who hasn't figured out how to work the custard machine.

I used to work in a McDonald's, so, I saw this quite a bit with the sundaes when some kid was new or didn't care.

If they didn't fill the cup to its maximum capacity, people would complain that they didn't get enough icecream for their money.

But that's beside the point: everyone knows Sonic is for shakes.

"Heya toots. You wanna go get something to eat, like maybe a Sonic Burger, or, you know, whatever you got around?"

[Dont Know]

I live in New Jersey. Is this a Mid-west thing?

It was mentioned in Homestarrunner.

Um... honestly, I don't like Sonic Burger as compared to other places, though it is nice change of places to eat at.

I mean a Mid-west chain. Becuase we have Wawas (convience store) and other places don't.

You see what I mean?
