Are there any other opera fans? I'm just relieved that they are not getting rid of the Saturday Matinee radio broadcasts.
What could be worse than not having opera to listen to on Saturday afternoons? I must find a way to help support the Metropolitan opera. They need to raise 150 Million dollars to keep their broadcasts alive forever.
I want to be able to listen to these when I'm 80...

I sing it, I live it....

I really like watching it, but listening to it sometimes gets irritating. Unless it's Puccini of course. [Smile]

I actually saw an opera last night..."The Turk in Italy" by Rossini....it was really funny, I liked it. The only dissappointing part was that they sang it in English rather than Italian.

My favorite is "Mr. and Mrs. Olson" by Garrison Keillor.
