Has anybody seen the Red Green Show? Well my wife and I both get the feeling that Harold the nephew is a Mormon. I don't have much good reason for getting that vibe, except for Red needling him about his virginity and one comment about the Mormon Tabernacel Chior. I dismissed my feelings until I discovered that my father also had gotten the same vibe.

So, does anybody know if Harold (the character, or the actory playing him) is Mormon?

I remember many years ago reading a book and thinking that the author sure sounded Mormon, even though I knew he couldn't be. That book was Treason.

Welcome to this side, Mr. and Mrs. Porteiro_Head!

I've never watched (or heard of) the show in question, but I wanted to let you know that I've always found your posts on the other side to be very well thought-out and very insightful. I hope you enjoy this side as much as you do the other (and, as much as I do)!

Lol. No, that was OSC that I thought sounded like a Mormon. The funny thing is that I never learned that he was until I came out to BYU.

Icarus: Thank you for your welcome. I've been on the net pretty much from the beginning, but I have had mostly bad experiences with sharing my feelings on internet forums. But I have had much better experiences here on Hatrack. My wife has convinced me to try this side of the board. I hope it turns out well.

Are you kidding?!
I love that show!!!

I don't know about Harold though. That is a good question. But I do know that that same guy plays the nerdiest guy ever in Stargate SG:1. [Smile]

When I go in September for the taping, I'll ask.

Wow, five years of seeing show tapings and finally I'll have a question to ask...

Watching the movie for me is a very surreal experience, as they filmed a LOT of it at the camp I worked at this past fall. Seeing the laneway ten different times and out outdoor chapel as the lodge was very strange.

(Oh, and I don't think Pat McKenna is on Stargate. But I could be wrong. I know he did some years on "Traders.")

Whenever I am in doubt who played in what, I visit imdb.com Omigosh! Pat McKenna WAS in SG-1 and a slew of other stuff!

In last night's episode they were sorting money and someone asked Harold what denomination he preferred. He replied, "Lutheran."

I love that show, but I have no idea about Harrold's religion.

When I first read it I thought you were asking if anyone knew if he was a moron? I was abit confused because if you love the show that one seemed like it would be obvious. Then I re-read and now I feel like the moron.

I love the show.

Icarus, get a copy of it and watch.

Imagine Home Improvement, gone terribly terribly wrong...

in Canada.

Its on most PBS stations here in the states.

But on the Mormon question, I have no idea.

As far the lucky @#$@#$ who get to go to the tapings, I am so jealous!!!

You can ask if they accept freelance scripts or ideas. I have one I wrote for them in my desk somewhere. Just say it involves the 1st Annual Possum Lodge Ice Festival, held in July. (less competition that way)

Duct-tape is god on the show, as it should be.

Personal contribution to the "they should make a skit about->" list:
Duct tape in medicine. Anything from face lifts, to tummy-tucks, to removing pesky hair. Also usable (with a little gauze) as an industrial strength band-aid. etc

They could go on and on, all it would take is a lil effort.

*smirks*

Yeah, it's the highlight of my September. I'd suggest writing to them to ask, honestly. They really enjoy fan participation - almost the entire set is fan contributed, including the "I don't know" car headlight couch. It's worth trying.

In the past, they've had multiple busloads of people come up for tapings - I think the most I saw was three buses from Iowa one year.

still waiting on reply from them. Duct tape, it's not a tool. It's a way of life. Used on just about everything when I lived in New Mexico.
