My girlfriend and I are going to Las Vegas next month. Just wondering if anyone has been and has some advice about what is must-do or worth seeing or if anyone has some insider advice. (No sure-fire gambling systems please, we're not big players) Oh and not likely that we will get married either. Thanks,
Pal

Most tourists come for the casinos, of course, but there are other activities that are truly worth it. If you're not just stuck on doing the Strip thing, then I suggest you consider taking a drive up to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. The BLM charges five bucks to get in, but then you're on this fantastic road that loops around the edge of the canyon, passing amazing desert landscapes. There are numerous parking lots from which trailheads will take you off on some really incredible hiking experiences. You might even see wild burros. There is also a visitor's center with some cool exhibits.

There's a very nice art gallery in the Bellagio. It's not very big, but the collection they have displayed there is exceptional.

I'm going to LV next weekend.

I was just there over MLK weekend! [Big Grin] I love Las Vegas (I don't know why....I'm LDS, so it doesn't make much sense.)

You *have* to see the fountains at the Bellagio. [Smile] It's a little water show that takes place every 15 minutes until midnight. The fountains "dance" to different songs, and it's very cool...and free! [Wink] (If you've seen the movie Ocean's Eleven these are the fountains you see the group standing in front of at the end when Clair de Lune is playing.)

Have fun! [Big Grin]
