Please demonstrate your enlightened state with observations of piercing cosmic truth.

I'll begin:

If you build something from the inside out,
you won't have any trouble penetrating from the outside in.

Piercing cosmic truth?

Well I think the world would be a lot better off if we lived by the adage:

Mi comida es su comida.

I'm torn between the following:

"Girls just wanna have fu-un!"

and

"In 50 billion years, when the Earth is a hurtling snowball, today's concerns will be as nothing!"

or maybe I'll just turn this over to Lavalamp...

I never actually read that article, I think someone just gave me the gist of it.

You cannot be where you haven't been.

If you only view life as ups and downs, stepping aside can seem like a vacation.

Every crisis contains its own resolution. Often, the best solution is to wait patiently for the situation to solve itself.

Treat people as if you believe in their power to do the right thing and they'll work twice as hard to prove you right. Treat them like you have no faith in their abilities and they won't have to work at all to prove you right.

Don't wake someone from a harmless delusion unless you're sure you have something better to offer than mere reality.

Our differences are wonderful, but not too great.

My two favorite television quotes: (I know its not a thread for television quotes, but at least one of these has some piercing wisdom and they come as a package deal.)

“If you’re dumb, surround yourself with smart people. And if you’re smart, surround yourself with smart people who disagree with you.”

“I am a pacifist and opposed to all violence, but when the revolution comes, I will have to destroy you all”

Anybody who can place them gets a smiley face sticker and gets to be line leader when we go out for recess.

If all life's problems were placed on a table and we were required to choose our share. We're sure to take back our own.

There were actually three roads diverging in that yellow wood...and the only one that makes any difference is the one never traveled by.

Isn't that pretty much what we do here on Hatrack?
