We have a post whore thread, this is a place to acknowledge the super lurker. Who out there has the fewest posts per day since registration? Obviously, to win you have to still be around enough to post in this thread. (It is fair to use abandoned user names).

Defenitely not me.

how do you know your posts per day?

dont tell me i have to do math all by myself?

Posted by hansenj (Member # 4034) on :

[Smile] Considering you've had at least 50 posts in the last three days, I don't think you qualify, Odouls.

(Click on 'posts' and the bottom of one of your posts.)

[Hat]

I have read nearly every thread since many many months before I registered and this is still my first post. My posts per day should be pretty low. Please present me with adulation and gifts. Thank you.

Posted by screechowl (Member # 2651) on :

Let's see. Two years and about 50 days. That works out to about 1 post every 3.6 days.

Not bad. I am usually not that talkative. This place makes me positively garrulous.

Well durring a two year strech here I was pretty queit, but latley I guess I just couldn't get enough of my own... letters. [Wink]

Hmmm... Registered in March of this year...

this will be post number 485 - I guess that brings the average to somewhere between 2 and 3 posts per day. The reality is different - days and weeks of silence with bursts of activity at irregular intervals.

Today is a miniburst. [Smile]

Do I qualify?

^Cat^

This is one contest I think I can win. Being a quiet, shy type of person has its advantages.

Posted by Ryuko (Member # 5125) on :

Neato. Hey, if anyone wants to figure it out directly, this site should be useful. It has a calculator for numbers of days between particular dates.

9.25 posts per day... That's pretty good. A week until Christmas!! And only 182 days left until my birthday!!

Posted by Lissande (Member # 350) on :

Looks like my stats are about the same as The Rabbit's, but I've never thought of myself as a lurker. Then again, considering the number of days I read Hatrack but don't post, maybe I've been in denial all this time. [Smile]

Posted by sndrake (Member # 4941) on :

Cool - thanks for the link.

Shows how bad my guesstimate skills are.

Average of just a hair under 1.8 posts per day.

Posted by Wendybird (Member # 84) on :

The one problem I have is that I registered so long ago no one even knows the date! [Eek!] It was sometime in early 98 or late 97, shortly after I got on the web. I definately lurk more than posting [Smile]

Posted by bonniet (Member # 240) on :

The site opened in 1999, so it couldn't have been in 97 or 98.

Posted by Ryuko (Member # 5125) on :

Yes, but some people were on the earlier versions..

Posted by Possum (Member # 2549) on :

Let's see...
1 about every 4 days. But weeks go by and I lurk in the soft leaves by the side of the forest path...waiting, just waiting.

Posted by The Rabbit (Member # 671) on :

Yes, I was on Big Mouth Lion but that doesn't influence either your registration date or your member number.

Posted by jacare (Member # 950) on :

Well, let's see . . . counting this one I've got .13073394495412844036697247706422 posts per day.

Jacare, that's cheating, 'cause you've posted more under Jacare Sorridente. I thought I might be in with a chance, but I guess I'm more outspoken than I thought!

Posted by efrum (Member # 6030) on :

Well, considering I just registered yesterday, I guess I'm disqualified. But give me time!

I'm not going to be the most quiet of Hatrack posters, but I do calculate my posts to be 1.0966101(and lots more numbers) per day. That's pretty low!

Posted by xnera (Member # 187) on :

Two years ago I probably would have been in the contention for the Super Lurker award. I had been here since the Big Mouth Lion days, and had less than 100 posts. My average back then was less than .10 posts per day. [Eek!]

Then LOTR happened, which loosened me up. [Big Grin] I now average .4726490473 posts per day. Which seems high to me, 'cause I still consider myself to be one of the most quiet members of this board.

Posted by Troubadour (Member # 83) on :

I'd be in there with a shot too - even with my TooTrueTroubs login... which only has around 300 posts to its name. I also was around on earlier version of Hatrack...

Posted by Wendybird (Member # 84) on :

Hmmm well Troubs' date indicates Nov. 98, and my member number is right after his so I must have been here since then.

Ah heck the math is too much for me tonight [Roll Eyes]

(edit) Okay I just had to figure it out and the baby quit screaming long enough for me to think a minute. I average 0.2009698275...... ( I estimated from Nov. 18,1998 since I don't know my exact date.....)

Well, I think I qualify, but I'm going to have to make a post (and destroy my lurker status) to get into my stats...

Edit: Looks like about .9 posts/day

Hurah!

Mine's probably pretty low, too, actually...

Posted by Kasie H (Member # 2120) on :

About .58 posts per day.

Posted by pooka (Member # 5003) on :

mothertree doesn't want to blow her stats by actually posting in here, but it's 9 since 04/04/03

Posted by T. Analog Kid (Member # 381) on :

1.17/day... but they come in bursts.

Posted by Eaquae Legit (Member # 3063) on :

120 since early Feb 2002.

120/22 months = 5 posts per month.

Posted by mek (Member # 740) on :

I think i'm lurking, but i'm not quite sure.

Posted by eslaine (Member # 5433) on :

Well. Anyone who really should deserve the title Super Lurker would never post in so obvious a place as this thread. The Super Lurker never posts. Ever.

[No No] And 04-01-2002, I am so disappointed. Such a record, broken by a single rash post, in a thread that's so obviously a ploy.

Posted by ak (Member # 90) on :

You lurkers know everything about us blabber mouths and we know nothing about you. That's not fair. Henceforth, each person must do a landmark lurker post at least once a year telling us everything about themselves, so we can learn about who you are, to make it more even. [Smile] I so decree it. <nods>

Why did mothertree feel compelled to register on my birthday?

[Confused]

Posted by spew the dew (Member # 2217) on :

I was a lurker before becoming Rappin' Ronnie Reagan back in September.

Posted by Liquor and Fireworks (Member # 5785) on :

Lately I have been in lurker/don't come here very often mode, but at one time I was a post whore...aaahh memories.
Say, are any of you lurkers that wierd guy who stands outside my window watching me sleep?
You guys are driving my paranoia to new heights, POST dagnabit POST!

Posted by Jaiden (Member # 2099) on :

Hmmmm...

0.51157663 posts per day by this registration date.

I didn't realize I posted so much [Eek!]

Do you guys remember this thread? This was back when I, yea even I, was a lurker. [Smile]

Now I'm obviously not, but I remember the days.

Posted by Traveler (Member # 3615) on :

I probably qualify for this title.

0.5145985401 posts per day since registration.

Doesn't posting in this thread kinda undermine your lurker status?

Posted by Happy Camper (Member # 5076) on :

I'm fairly certain that I'm in the low post count range. Pretty sure I fall at around 2 posts every 3 days or so. Not quite the superlurker I once was, but I'm still pretty low.

Posted by Mike (Member # 55) on :

I dunno, I haven't posted in so long I've forgotten when I registered. [Big Grin]

Edit: Looks like my ratio's 0.17835109. Not too bad. Some of you folks have definitely got me beat.

Are Happy Camper and Mike #55 the same person? Or is that just a wierd coincidence.
[Confused]

sndrake, if you are lurking out there reading this thread, I just sent you an e-mail. Our secretary is having issues finding a good caregiver for her elderly disabled mother in the Chicago area, and I thought you might have ideas.

Nope, I'd be proud to have a member number as low as 55, but alas, it is not so, I was about 5000 registrants late for that one.

Wonder how I stack up

Posted by jacare (Member # 950) on :

Just so everyone knows, Jacare Sorridente and I are not the same person (although by saying so I have now brought my post count up to 0.13139801375095492742551566080978 posts per day).

Whoah...cool link, Ryuko!

I have been alive 6021 days! [Cool]

I have about 20 posts a day... [Dont Know]

I think I clock in at a little less than one per day now. So, at this rate, I'll hit 1000 posts around June 1st of next year. Ooh... maybe I can do my 1000th on my birthday on the 10th.

Hey, ya gotta have goals. [Big Grin]

Posted by m. bowles (Member # 3743) on :

Ok.... here is something I qualify for!

Posted by BelladonnaOrchid (Member # 188) on :

I'm just now getting past the point where I don't have such an outrageously low post count for how long I've been a member.

However, this year, my post count has gone up about the amount that you see on the bottom of my post, minus 15.

As of right now, my average is a post every .273 days. As of March, it was a post every .011 days.

Posted by Possum (Member # 2549) on :

808 days
197 posts
.2438

My post count is pretty lame. I qualify, I think.
