I think I had at least sixteen pieces of pie between Thursday night and Sunday afternoon, with five of those on Thanksgiving day. I believe this is a new personal best for the Thanksgiving weekend, though my Thanksgiving Day record is still eight, if I remember correctly.

In other words, it was a good weekend.

Well..... none.

But I did make biscuits and gravy (for the first time) and very good they were too.

Hey, I made three pies. Two pumpkin and one apple. I even made the crust and darned if it wasn't good, tasty crust. I would have made a lemon meringue pie as well, except that I ran out of time and kind of lost interest in making pies. But I would have.

We brought both my pumpkin pies to dinner with my wife's family, and a good thing, too. My mother-in-law, who is an impeccable cook, forgot to put the sugar in her pies. Wow. Don't eat a pumpkin pie without sugar in it--it's like eating shortening. Nobody said anything until my father-in-law had his first bite. Oh my heck, like you should've seen his face. Then we all had a good laugh, told our stories of how we had a bite and wondered what was wrong, and ate my pies. My mother-in-law took it in stride, I think. At least she didn't throw me out of the house. [Smile]

I ate no pie this weekend. On Thanksgiving I ate so much dinner that I almost made myself sick, and thus had no room for dessert. There was no opportunity to eat pie on any of the other days.

I feel like such a failure.

I had three tiny pieces of a pumpkin pie, pecan pie, and apple tart, totaling 1/6th of a pie. I also gained a pound and a half last week. [Frown]

I made an apple and pumpkin, but didn't want any.

So my number is: 0

I should add that I also made two apple pies.

Saxon: Well, go and redeem yourself!

Nate: Didn't want any? You're a bigger failure than Saxon.

I should add that I ate most of one pie by myself as a midnight snack.

And hey, depending on what you call a slice, that whoops your record, Jon. [Big Grin]

5 -- all pumpkin.

Baked: 2 pumpkin, 1 French apple, 1 lemon meringue. Took 'em to my parents'. Had three or four slices over the weekend. Apple pie and one pumpkin got finished, last third of of lemon meringue got left for my dad.

The majority of the second pumpkin came back here. It's gone now. [Big Grin]

What did it come back as? [Angst]

My slices were all an eighth of a pie, so I ate a little more than two pies.

It's probably best not to ask questions like that, afr.

I know it's bean pie, but what is it now?

oh, i'm soo funny.

[Razz] When it returned to my 'umble abode, 'twas still (most of) a pie. It is no longer. Further than that, I don't care to speculate.

I made the traditional pecan pie and a pumpkin pie on which I wrote "eat me." I didn't, though.

One of my apple pies had slits in the shape of a smiley face.

I'm eating pumpkin pie right now.

My grandfather once forgot to put sugar in a blueberry pie. [Taunt] without the hands. or [Razz] without the smile.

I didn't have any pie but I made a delicious "Chocolate Frosted Ginger Cake."

[Smile] [Big Grin]

Lets just say that I filled my plate and emptied it 4 times. And I mean FILLED. AND I had 2 pieces of pie afterwards. [Evil Laugh]

I made five pies, 2 pumpkin, 2 apple and 1 black and blue berry. I think we still have one apple pie left. I have no idea how many pieces I've eaten, it must be at least 8.

*invites self over to Rabbit's place for apple pie*

I had two pieces of pie.

Right, 200, now to make a percentage...

No, no...not 200. Just 2.

TWO!? I can't do anything with that!

3 pumpkin, so I'm out of the running for most. I did have 4 pieces of cherry cheesecake, though. Yum!

Woops, I should have said, I had one apple pie left this morning. Now that Rich has gone home, its probably gone. Poor Rich was deathly ill Friday-Sunday or the pie would be long gone already.

I should also confess that Rich's family were all in town the weekend before TG so we did too TG dinners. All in all I baked 10 pies in 6 days, all but one of which has been entirely consumed.

I should also note, that all of my pies crusts were wheat and gluten free, which is another story in and of itself.

Ever since my brother's 18th birthday, he's been trying to eat his age in pie. Since our turkey day trip was cut short, it didn't happen, but I would rather give his pie eating record than mine, which is pathetic.

At least seven...
